David Gavrushevich Avanesyan vs. Joshua Kelly & Robbie Davies Jnr vs. Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela RBR.

I've seen a couple of posts referring to Booth's taught style as a coach. I'm not sure I agree that Haye/Booth/Kelly all have/had a similar style nor are they similar fighters with similar fundamentals. Is the issue maybe around the fights where tactics actually are key? Aside from Valuev (which on reflection was perhaps not the tactical masterclass that is was seen as at the time) is Booth a problem where a tactical/strategic approach has been required (eg Haye v Wlad)? Perhaps tonight was an example of that too?

What I mean is, rather than teaching a bad style, does he come unstuck where a tactical gameplay has to be applied.

 

Booth is a one trick pony. All his boxers box the same, and crumble when going gets tough.

 

He tries to fight like Naz, Haye and Groves but without anywhere near the power required to really do it.

That wide stance, reflex style and that's fine if you can counter with something explosive, once DA felt the power, understood the power and coped with it, it was over.

After round 5 it was only going one way, Kelly was blowing out his backside and started to look like he was struggling with the pace.. it wasn't even half way and you could see Kelly start to deflate.

It's a long way ack for Kelly, I know we always say that but he where do you go from here? A change in style? A change in trainer? Back to domestic level?

Horrible situation to be in, Hearn will have to work his magic now because there isn't a rematch clause for this one.

Just popped in to say I've been impressed with Connor Benn. A more impressive and sensible pundit than the full time mob.

 

We are getting slapped around like we are married to Ike Turner.

But, being British, I am sort of enjoying watching Matchroom fighters get beaten up, it isn't the, personally, it's the whole Matchroom and Sky cult.

They just need to be humbled and brought back down to earth, they are conning boxing fans in my opinion and long may this beating continue.

 

Corona lockdown has taken a toll on British boxing for sure. Even Tyson fury said so.

 

It will be left 2 the tartan Spartan to become undisputed after 19 fights and bring some pride to these isles again!

Id say you are right that they're conning the fans and I'm not justifying it here at all.. But everyone does it, (ie) Top Rank with Crawford (weight bully cherrypicker), PBC (Wilders cherrypicked his entire career barely ever fighting a pulse, effectively conning people), and most importantly Clenelo (the biggest fraud in boxing right now, in fact possibly ever)

 

Yeah, just like between Kelly and Avanesyan!!!!!

 

Captured all the belts at heavy weight guna be awhile before there is an American heavy weight champion again so not all doom and gloom lol
