I hate both and as an extension I will forever judge you in content while I look down upon you with nothing but disgust, resentment and hatred.

This was the same ol' Oscar Valdez of always, only more focused, determined, and with a great game plan (courtesy of Reynoso, plus, an unrecognizable, shadow of Berchelt).
    Btw, nothing tops Martinez-Williams KO

Yeah, that's not that hard, when you have a Clen Jackhammer to dissuade opponents with.

    Quality performance by Valdez.

Berchelt is normally a bit slow and has had defensive issues as he tends to march forward and grind people down, so I figured Oscar would have some success and would be able to land some big counter hooks. But Berchelt's massive weight cut finally caught up with him, and seemed to affect his punch resistance pretty much from the start. That meant that all those jabs and counter hooks were able to affect him more than they might have had he not been drained by losing so much weight.

Either way, Valdez reigns at 130, while Berchelt will almost certainly move up to lightweight after this.

I dunno if it's the pandemic or lockdowns but boxers are revved up to be back in the ring and knock each other out, WOW!

I like what Valdez said in the interview. Not let anybody say what you can and can't do. That mindset is a big key in his rebirth as a fighter.

Because you can tell he has put the work and self belief in himself. He has learn a good deal and lessons along the experiences he had in boxing and use it to channel it the right way.You know what I mean?

God damn what a performance by Valdez! I watched some of the rounds and skipped a bit to see the highlights. Phew Berchelt barely escaped round four; the ref and his corner had good reason to stop it then. What a knock down in round 9 and WOW! what a knock out at the end! Valdez did a really great job with timing, disruption, devastating combos! I'll give it a closer examination tomorrow! Hot damn!

This was a career defining fight for Valdez.

Berchelt came in thinking this fight was a foregone conclusion whereas Valdez came in knowing this was the fight of his life an prepared well for it. Deserves all credit.

I just watched it that was nuts, how did Berchelt stay up for 6 rounds through that?

It really lived up to the billing, maybe not an all time great fight but it was seriously exciting.

KO of the year but Berchelt will never be the same. Don't think he should have been sent out that round. Alas, he's a face first guy and the champion, and that's the risk they take.

Respect to Valdez. I do think Berchelt was in terrible shape after the weigh in and there's a reason the smart money flowed to Valdez, but he still gets all the credit.

Great performance by Valdez, easily the best 130 pounder in the world.

Btw, at the morons who've been yapping about Lomachenko moving to 135(a far more dangerous division) to duck Berchelt.
