Seeing that blubber will actually scare AJ more and motivate him to train even harder. When you flunked your initial step up to Fat Level as badly as he did against Fat Andy and witnessed your then greatest rival The Tuscaloser flunk his one just as badly against an inactive muscle atrophied drug-ravaged shell of Fat Fury, trust me, you learn to fear fat more than muscle.

As soon as he saw the blubber on Fury he had a panic attack. He remembered when Diabetic Angry Bird Andy Ruiz beat him from pillar to post. Fat men have his number. He knows he simply cannot beat Fury.

Joshua's time is coming. He knows he's only keeping those belts warm for the true champion. The great Tyson Fury.

    Stay humble, bodybuilder Joshua

 A lot of fans mistakenly believe that fat fighters don't train hard enough but the truth is the less they train the better they perform. Fat Andy had the right idea coming in fatter for the rematch against the bodybuilder but he stupidly made the cardinal mistake of training fairly hard. Whereas, when Fury came in fatter for the rematch against The Tuscaloser he supplemented the additional blubber with a light training regime as opposed to a mid-heavy one.

I realize that this is tongue-in-cheek (or should I say tongue-in-cheeseburger) but there is something to be said for a fat, happy, and relaxed fighter as long as they have skills and the will to win.

Boom! Some serious psychology behind it, for sure.

I LOVE watching Ruiz train. Dude MOVES for a big guy.

The fat on Fury is just a mental warfare trick to make AJ have flashbacks to Ruiz

Behind the blubber is a rock solid 270 pound man.

He sure does. If he lost all that blubber it would really slow him down

 it's a real epiphany when it finally dawns on you that fat>>muscle and with that knowledge comes contentment and contentment is the second most potent legal PED behind blubber

I'm not sure anymore. If I was initially I think I've made such a convincing argument that fat>>muscle I've managed to convince myself it's true lol

    I have another one

Fat boy Mihai Nistor knocked AJ senseless in the amateurs and is the only man to stop Otton Wallin in the unpaid ranks too AFAIA

I unironically believe that having a high body fat % is a great advantage for a heavyweight boxer, provided he has the frame to carry it well, he's well-conditioned and has a lot of muscle underneath.

    Advantages:

    1. Wrestling benefits in the clinch
    2. Increased punch power
    3. Increased punch resistance
    4. Psychological advantages (less bodily neuroticism, underestimation, greater fear of humiliation, size as intimidating in itself)

Don't underestimate the benefit of fat in combat sports. How often do you see a skinny sumo wrestler? Top heavyweight Judo fighters have been 5'7 and 120 KG. AJ isn't going to find it easy having a 6'9 monster who weighs 2.5 stone more than he does lean all over him and bully him in the clinch.

You raise some very interesting points which only lend more credence my theory that fat>>muscle

If it was just a case of AJ having an off night and muscle>>fat he wouldn't have run like a thief in the night in the rematch against Fat Andy
