I seriously believe that it would not make a difference for Canelo if he fought me or yildirim thats how much a mismatch this is I think. If canelo wanted to he could end the fight within 90 seconds but will probably let the fight go a bit since the fans would be pissed if he koed such a c-tier opponent for a 20 second show.
Probably just doing light gym work and eating “Beef” three meals a day. Score cards already been filled out.
Canelo's a great fighter but I think you are overplaying your hand on how much of a mismatch this is. Yildirim has to be super motivated for this opportunity and he's going to give it everything he's got to make this competitive. Canelo winning by spectacular KO is always a possibility, but lets not just assume this is going to be a one-sided domination. Canelo usually starts slow and methodical and we don't know what version of Yildirim will show up. You never know, it could be a great fight. Yildirim could end up giving Canelo a better test than Smith did.
Championship caliber fighters like Canelo don't change their training habits from opponent to opponent
True. And Canelo is taking his training seriously. Hard to imagine this ending well for Yildrim. Hopefully his corner steps in when need be, but I doubt it.
Canelo trains his ass off for every fight. I've got a lot to say about the lil' ginger clen-glugging biscuit, but I have nothing to say about his work ethic which is exemplary. If Andy Ruiz trained like Canelo he'd still have a strap.
Canelo has always been willing to be part of circus fights. He fought JCC Jr. when people were calling him "p4p#1", Amir Khan a few fights before that, and ROCKY FIELDING a few fights after. Canelo "p4p#1" fighting some guy you've never heard of is standard at this point.
I’ve been negative on Canelo for a while but I never doubt his fitness level. He will be in top shape. Did he train for this guy? Naaa. Like most people, he will see him fight for the first time when they meet. Don’t blink, this one isn’t lasting long.
