Probably yeah. From what I remember about the Joyce fight, Bryant showed very good defence, knew how to cover up well and also ha decent counters/body work. I only had him losing 7-5 against the much bigger Joyce. Him against Dubois would be competitive I think. Dubois would start off well and have success but the longer it goes on Jennings would have more success in the later rounds I think.
Defenitely better. I would say he has more experience. Both fighters fought Joe Joyce, but he did last longer and gave him tougher fight. He also went the distance with Wladimir Klitschko (which is something i doubt Overrated Dubois would be able to do.). Fought better competition (ortiz, Wlad, ex..). Make no mistake, i didn't say he is something special, but atleast he was not as bad as DD.
He's a spoiler at top level who can do a lot of things well but nothing extraordinary. Jennings is hard to look good against, Ortiz looked the best and he still dropped a few rounds along the way. If Jennings and Dubois faced each I'd see it as a 50/50 matchup and would lean towards Dubois getting the decision in a close fight as the house fighter.
I think ppl are a little hard on DD, I could be wrong but I still think he has a bright future if his eye heals up 100%. To me DD is better and have more tools than Jennings that’s nothing special but very durable.
Jennings would be sparked by Dubois. Although I am not sold on Dubois, and think he will always have his limitations. He's a much better and more dangerous boxer than Jennings, who is 36 and has hardly beaten anybody with a pulse. Jennings is pretty rubbish, let's be frank. But he's non-offensive, so people will say he's better than X, Y or Z boxer that they don't like, or want to build a case against.
Jennings fundamentally is better but Dubois has time on his side all be it a long road to come back from Im not convinced Jennings would beat him over 12 either Seems to have adopted a sparring partner mentality over the 5 years or so
Dubois sucks, I’ve said since he turned pro. We also found out in the Joyce fight that his heart is around the size of his peanut head. Jennings at his best was at least a decent world level fighter. Does anybody think Dubois could’ve gone the distance with any version of Wlad?
Dubois 'quit' after getting punched and jabbed dozens of times on what was found to be a potentially career and sight ending injury by one of the biggest, strongest and vastly more experienced Heavyweights currently operating on the world stage. Dubois would ***** slap you into the local A&E inside a minute. You ****ing keyboard warriors really get on my tits!
I think Jennings was/is better all around. Not particularly blessed in any one facet of the game, but turned himself into an undersized HW(by today’s standards) contender, who took on all comers.
Actually not a bad comeback fight for Dubois !!! Fighting a shot Bryant Jennings to give him sum rds / but Dubois really needs to work on moving his head !!! Straight up / same with Oscar Rivas !!! No head movement at all !
