Josh Taylor could well be knocking on the door of this list once his career is over.

    - World champion in 15 fights
    - Unified, ring magazine and WBSS winner in just his 16th bout
    - Fighting to become undisputed in his next fight
    - Then likely to move up to 147 and look to mix it with top names... Crawford, Spence, Porter etc

Bud would destroy him, he might have a chance against Spence and others at 147 though.

He'd be the favourite yes but don't see him 'destroying' him by any stretch.

By the time it potentially happens Bud will likely be 35 years of age and to be honest..... big fan of his talent but what elite fighter has he actually beat? I'd back Spence to beat him and also think he proves to be a hardest test for Taylor should he move up to 147.

Why do you always post such absolutes? I think Crawford is a superb fighter also and likely elite level however, he is yet to beat a fellow elite level fighter in their prime.

Should he fight and beat Spence and then mop up at 147 in his last few fights, I could understand such a statement.

Also, Taylor could move up to 147 and find he's even stronger and more suited to that weight once he's acclimatised and be even more effective, he's certainly got the frame for it. As already stated on this thread, I don't think anyone at 140 - 147 makes easy work of Taylor.

I like him and have seen him at the garden several times, but he hasn’t looked great in his last 2 fights esp against the machine last December.

Whilst Crawford could win, and would obviously be favourite, I struggle to see how he would destroy Josh Taylor when he couldn't destroy a gunshy Ricky Burns (post-Beltran jawbreak).

As much as I love Ricky and what he has achieved in the sport, Josh is much more talented, tougher, and most importantly, has that spiteful streak in the ring, that Burns never had, he was just too nice.

Crawford might well win, but Taylor is not an easy night for anyone.

How do you know Taylor will carry his punch up to welter, plenty of punchers can`t carry their punch up to the higher weight, Bud`s a more proven finisher at 147 than Josh and he punches harder than Spence too.

I think machine would score a lot against Spence and is far better than anybody Honeyghan beat, Curry was all over the place v Lloyd and that was his best win Blocker wasn`t that good and I don`t think Starling was that good offensively, he spanked Honeyghan though who fought like a lunatic v Marlon.

Tankatron said Taylor could find himself stronger at the higher weight not definate.Where as you stated Crawford would destroy him as if that was a fact.Unbelievable!!!!

I don't know and guess what? neither do you but, Taylor has stated before that making 140 isn't easy and given his style of fighting and his frame, it's a fair calculation that the extra weight would benefit him.

    Lol at Warrington beating Hamed.

He struggled with budget Hamed in Gallahad.

Prime. Hamed vs Prime Frampton would be an amazing fight.

Warrington and Frampton both lose to Naz. Neither fight is close either.

If the Joe Calzaghe that beat Lacy and Kessler dropped into the 168 division right now he'd clean it out, Alvarez included, there's nobody in that division that can live with the finished article that was the Calzaghe of those two fights.

Not unbelievable because Bud is so much better than Taylor.
