its amazing that with top rank backing this is the best they can find for him. its clear he is being maneuvered into a paper belt under the gimmick of the first round kos , i dont expect him to fight any live opponent until he becomes a paper champion
It is a step up. I can appreciate the methodical approach here. No need to rush him by putting him in there with someone too good, too fast because he is banging everyone out ko1. I did expect someone a bit better though. Not gonna lie.
If that happens, they’ll be doing hima disservice. I think it’d be a shortsighted mistake to focus on the ko1 streak at all. If Berlanga has the goods, as is being said, he’ll get his shots at a title sooner rather than later anyway. How often do you hear a prospect being called out by an estsblished champ the way Benavides has called out Berlanga. If he goes into a title shot and hasnt been beyond ko1, he’llbe ripe for the picking, IMO.
If berlanga was anything other then puerto rican or mexican they wouldnt even push him. Guy is green as hell.
Perfect fight right now for berlanga would be mike lee. Bum vs Bum. Ill favor berlanga. How did mike lee even get a shot? I already knew mike lee was a bum but i saw him spar my friend at the rock in preparation for plant and lucius Johnson battered him from pillar to post. Zero skill, thats why he went down like he got shot out a cannon when plant grazed him. Imagine being scared terrified of a feather fisted dude like plant. LOL
You guys remember when Kermit Cintron had obliterated everybody he fought except one person...........then his team believed he was ready for Margarito? You guys remember when Tyrone Brunson had obliterated everybody he fought..............Then they put him in with Carson Jones? Once you're 10-15 fights into your career, cannon fodder does you no good. They need to get him in with some rugged journeymen that won't fold no matter what they get hit with..........
