A fight towards unification??? Wilder could have fought AJ TWICE in an ACTUAL unification fight. He even said it was a mistake not to take those fights now.
Fury was the undefeated lineal champion. It was a unification fight any way you slice it. Negotiations aren't always smooth with different promoters, networks, etc. But make no mistake, it wasn't a cherry pick fight.
