What's really sad here is, Brook wasn't even B level quality in his first fight at Middleweight. Then again, that fight was hyped up on twitter for mental fruits like the idiot above.
The comments in this thread are of an insane asylum. There's comments defending Golovkin for ignoring the WBC's order to fight Jermall Charlo saying that Oscar De La Hoya said its difficult to negotiate with Haymon so why should GGG even try. What makes it more hilarious is that other GGG fanatics are actually validating comments like that Hahahahaha...
Iran Barkley has a good chance to beat GGG and he lost to a near 40 year old Duran. Ggg could easily lose as well. Thinking it's impossible is definitely not based on precedence so what makes you so sure?
I just rewatched the Duran vs Barkey fight again. I just watched the fight again in a long time. Despite all the physical limitations, Duran's skills and talents made up for them. Duran's movement is incredible. The way he gets inside and can stay on the inside is probably the best ever. If someone can't see how huge the skill difference between Duran and Golovkin is then there's not much that can be said to them. I'm convinced some guys here are just licking GGGs balls and know deep inside Duran would have a good chance at outclassing GGG. Here's the Duran-Barkley fight if anyone wants to appreciate it This content is protected
Nah rubbish BC... https://www.*******.com/hearn-team-barker-told-me-f-off-golovkin-fight-offer--108513
So Berkley was outclassed...here he is getting bossed by a guy who had half the skill & same outcome...ln fact was when Benn was on his sell imposed sabbatical to America after the Michael Watson schooling ... just prooves Barkley as a lanky failed hardman...shows nothing on how Ggg would handle Duran...who incidently is an idol of ggg's This content is protected
GGG only handles fighters one way. Jab and hook. That's all. GGG hasn't shown us that he is a skilled in fighter. In fact when Derevyanchenko was getting in the inside he was hurting Golovkin to the body. I know one thing for sure. Duran would not be troubled by Golovkins jab.. I've seen him against ATG jabs, and he's done excellent. Golovkin couldn't even handle Canelo's waist and head, how would he handle Duran who moves a lot better than Canelo? The power puncher got Outlander in power punches by Canelo. Lol I just don't see GGG beating Duran a sure thing. Its ridiculous to think so.
The fanaticism is like nothing I've seen before. It's no secret I'm a big Canelo fan, but if Canelo continually fought fighters like Yildirim, or worse fighters like Vanes, Rolls, Wade... I'd lose interest in his fights.
What the actual **** are you talking about? "The IBF on Friday granted unified middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin an exception to his mandatory defense to face late substitute Vanes Martirosyan, but with the stipulation that his next fight, should he defeat Martirosyan, has to come against Sergey Derevyanchenko if he wants to keep the belt." https://africa.espn.com/boxing/stor...ht-sergey-derevyanchenko-next-keep-title-belt Golovkin losing the IBF belt has NOTHING to do with him fighting Martirosiyan. Golovkin was stripped because he did not agree to immediately face Derevyanchenko after beating Vanes. He wanted to fight Canelo instead. Canelo is a harder fight than Derevyanchenko. Let it be noted that Canelo vacated his belt rather than face Derevyanchenko and that Golovkin retook his belt by beating Derevyanchenko. You a fan of that? Canelo still hasn't fought Derevyanchenko, choosing to fight stiffs like Yildirim instead. I like how Canelo fights a guy he is guaranteed to beat while ignoring the fact that Benavidez even exists. Your double standards in accepting that excuse for Canelo but not for Golovkin are hereby noted. "for a shot" GTFOH. Canelo is fighting the guy that got flattened by Eubank and lumped up by Dirrell. His former sparring partner. Let that sink in. Gee and yet earlier you said he was stripped for fighting Martirosiyan. Which one is it? You sound confused. He wanted to fight Canelo which I'm sure you will agree is a harder fight than Derevyanchenko. You do agree on that right? When he had no belts? Are you talking about this guy: "Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez would relinquish the IBF middleweight championship title, with no further negotiations or purse bid, if there was no completed deal between him and Derevyanchenko by the agreed upon extended deadline of Monday July 29, 2019 at 3 p.m. ET. As of today, August 1, 2019, the IBF has been advised that there is no such deal."" This content is protected Is Derevyanchenko a harder fight than Canelo or not? Answer that. You mean like Golovkin wanting to fight Canelo instead of Derevyanchenko? Doesn't change the fact Cotto paid GGG 800K not to fight him. 1) Golovkin was not 100% for that fight 2) GGG stopped Ouma and sent him to hospital. Ouma looked like he was in a plane crash. I said GGG would be heavily favoured to beat Duran at 160. Not a certainty. Learn to read. Ward says he won’t fight Golovkin at 168 https://www.boxingnews24.com/2017/04/ward-says-wont-fight-golovkin-168/ And yet "Too big and too strong for GGG" This content is protected Golovkin is a career 160 boxer. 168 is already giving weight away to Froch. He chose money over legacy. That's fine but don't pretend he couldn't have fought GGG if he'd wanted to. So you agree he could have fought Golovkin but chose not to. And yet Canelo fought Chavez He's still waiting around for Canelo to come out of hiding for #3. I guess Canelo is waiting for him to retire and then he will call him out.
There's a reason why Golovkin, the so-called Champion, was begging the smaller Alvarez for a payday by barking on twitter. Because Alvarez has the name power and record to back it up. Alvarez never needed to start a twitter hype campaign and still doesn't need to either. The farce on the other hand, barks big on social media and then lines up hopeless bums or smaller opponents in the ring.
