Tim Witherspoon exposed his chin in 1986 and Mike Tyson did in !989.

As a 22 year old child, who'd been boxing for but 2 years (and whom spent his time at the golf course, and in the company of woman) I wouldn't exactly same Louis was in his prime.

Yea Tyson KOd Bruno, but thats close to prime Mike. The Witherspoon loss was in the 11th round and Bruno looked exhausted. Its not like Tim was bouncing him off the canvas the entire fight.

Bill Squires might be the winner here. Knocked out in 3 world title fights by Tommy Burns and finished his career with 10 stoppages out of 11 losses (the other was a DQ) but more telling is that 9 of those were clean KO’s and only one was a TKO. He was a genuine canvas back.

To fair Mark you’re correct regarding the Cummings fight.
    He was out of it.

Nobody has called out Brian London, he of cartoon Lantern Jaw yet?

Second vote for Richard Dunn, who was a bit more rugged but did some amazing staggering pratfalls against Ali.

Honorable Mentions to Conroy Nelson and Lorenzo Zanon?

Tyson was all over the place in both fights v Bruno, he looked lost without Rooney and Bruno kept holding and hitting just trying to survive even after hurting Mike in the first round.

Yeah but if you are just going by what you see than you can’t have Bruno as the weakest because he took Tyson’s shots a lot better than people like Williams, Spinks and Tubbs who were taken out by just one or two shots.

Although not exactly granite there were worse chins than London’s.
I think he’s remembered for being on the receiving end of that scintillating combination off Ali.
He admitted he decided not to get up!

Bruno was stopped by Mike Tyson and Lennox lewis, both feared punchers, nothing to be ashamed of there. Bruno was also stopped late by Bonecrusher and Witherspoon who could both crack. Was his chin made of granite? No. But its not one that deserves to be on this list with guys like Damon Reed.
