I don't know what to think about this. Marvelous produced alot of stank leg in his opponents. Lots of knock downs and the dude gets up wobbling around like Zab Judah before falling back down or having the ref wave it off. On the other hand, GGG hits hard. You can see it in his fights and he has produced some chicken dancing himself. The only thing that might convince me that Hagler might have an edge is he beat up better guys than GGG.
Scar and isal, stop being such salty, ocd idol worshipers. I just voiced my opinion and you come at me like this? lol no autographs, sorry.
Excellent post. For one shot concussive power, I like GGG. As others have discussed, however, Hagler was better all around, and I think that craft would have allowed him to outpoint GGG in a very entertaining affair. Jones vs Hagler at 160lbs...Geezus-- there was a time when I would likely have forfeited my left testicle to see that fight (Roy by decision).
"I know one thing for sure. Duran would,,," Don't be ridiculous , this is clearly hypothetical so you don't know anything for sure apart from it will never happen ...CTFD
I know that Golovkin doesn't look great against top level opposition. I also Duran is an ATG. I also know Golovkin has never been in the ring with anyone with Duran's skills. I also know Duran has fought, beat, and been competitive against ATG. I know Golovkin's best win is Kell Brook, and Jacobs who just lost to Rosado. lol I know Duran had some of the best upperbody movement, and was a master at getting on the inside and Golovkin is nothing Duran hasn't already seen.
His biggest universally accepted win is over Canelo, maybe twice. Also, GGG ruined Kell Brook who was #1 at welterweight and #10 PFP at the time. You cant judge the pre- GGG Brook the same as the post GGG Brook, they are two separate fighters.
I don't think a lot of these Golovkin fans understand why weight classes exist. Lets just say they are not the sharpest tools in the shed. lol
Act Actually its what you would expect putting the #1 welterweight in the world against a great exceptionally heavy handed dominant middleweight champ. So everybody knew it wasn't going to be good for Brook and it wasnt.
Wow, what a great accomplishment. Anyway, that #1 WW in the world is getting passed around by the REAL #1 WWs in the world and getting KTFO. lol
Sharp enough to know that GGG won both fights, As attested by the 40 ringside reporters having GGG winning the 2nd fight 15 had it even and 2 had it for Canelo, my eyes werent lying to me. The first fight isnt even worth mentioning because only the few and the proud believe it was even a draw much less a Canelo victory. Hey, that makes you kind of like a Marine dont it?
