I don't hate him, just think he's a **** like all promoters. I just hate the weird cult following he has and the 'Eddie Hearn says' brigade as if everything that he says is gospel.
Yeah I agree with that but the people who just sh*t on absolutely anything Matchroom related are just as bad. It’s like a deep hatred they have for the company and all it’s fighters. I genuinely couldn’t care less who promotes what as long as good fights are getting made yet all over Twitter it’s ‘Matchroom FC’ this and that, and anyone who gives a positive opinion on anything to do with Matchroom is deemed a casual.
Oh yeah thay are just as bad which is why I tend to ignore both. If Matchroom make good fights then I'm happy, sadly they seem to put on alot of subpar shows for a team in their position.
It's starting to stagnate again tbf all our supposed best fighters are getting pole axed.the heavyweights are propping everything up at the minute and without them it would direbiblical.
I think many people hoped he would fail and can't stomach that they are still going strong. I remember when the DAZN deal announced and you had people say after 2 years they will dump matchroom. When DAZN signed Golden Boy people said DAZN weren't happy with matchroom and DHL would be the main promoter for DAZN etc etc. Look at the Canelo situation. He leaves Oscar and has the star power to go it alone but somehow Hearn gets him when he could have gone with anyone. I think his reputation with fighters and Managers is a lot higher than people think.
Do you seriously think any of those sharks would allow a 'sour relationship' to get in the way of making money? All that nonsense is for the birds. They'd sit down with the devil himself if there was a buck in it. That's if the devil wasn't worried about his reputation being damaged through association. If both parties want a deal it happens. If either one doesn't it won't and both will blame the other regardless.
The reason people hate Hearn is because he does so many interviews and talks himself up so much. I think it gives the impression that he's spending as much of his energy manipulating the fans' perception of things, as he spends on actual serious business.
I have no idea what's happening with Fury-Joshua. But all along there's been the possibility that both camps would like to drag this on for a few more years ! Like Mayweather and Pacquiao.
High volume = alienate more people, secure the admiration of more people. Thankfully, for Hearn, the latter massively outweighs the former. He is not a household name, but he's probably as close as it will get as a managing director of a sports promotion outfit.
Do you think he’s ringing KC or MJP up every 5 minutes to do an interview or do you think it’s the other way round? Hearn brings in views for their channel, doesn’t matter if he has anything new or interesting to say or not.
I couldn't give a toss who's ringing up who. Hearn does a lot of interviews. That's probably why people "hate" on him.
It seems to be the case for most. I haven't watched one in a couple of years. They bore me to tears. It's the same sort of thing every time.
Yeah its just constant drivel and contradictions. Just like any promoter except Kallie! I watch him for the faces haha
