Awww sorry for not tagging you, you managed to read it yourself anyway so fair play to you. You never mentioned GGG but did Mayweather, how else am I supposed to read it? But anyway look at the 114-114 card and see some of the clear GGG rounds that went Canelos way. Either way Canelo gets nice cards whenever he goes the distance.
Most things that need to be said have probably already been said so I'll just add that sadly in 2021 the result of this fight is a foregone conclusion. SMW is all wrong for Billy, it plays to Canelo's strength's and takes away any advantage Billy would have had in terms of elusiveness and movement as at this weight he has looked awful against poor opposition, so against an elite world class fighter he will not miraculously look better. At his best at MW 3 years or so ago (Ingle gym time frame, possibly no co-incidence..) he would have given Canelo a good fight, and lost a fairly close decision. At his peak condition he has the footwork to frustrate Canelo and his jab would have won him rounds too. I don't know if anyone here watched his most recent interview (yes, the one with the apron lol) but he mentioned he has around 3 stone to lose. That will take the majority of the time he has leading up to the start of May. So he will have to squeeze in a week of sparring, by the time he does that he will be exhausted and drained from the best part of two months dieting. Wish him all the best, but I see him being beaten up and either pulled out or stopped late on.
Agree with the post above, SMW isn’t for Saunders and I suspect Canelo and his team know this and have zero fears. Canelo is probably juicing somehow and looks strong as at the weight, Saunders has looked sluggish.
Canelo, after a full camp having the latest biological concoction pumped into his veins, will be Hulk raging when he enters the ring. Looking forward to seeing BJS taking a once in a lifetime beating. When it’s over Canelo, can give Saunders little monster in training, Stevie, a smack or two upside his pointy head as well.

Yeah , he beat up shot to pieces old Martin Nurray a little while ago... well when I say "beat up" I mean won a point decision. But he dodged a punch once against Lemieux and looked out the ring, It was quite funny so now he is apparently the man to beat Canelo. I wish him well.
I thought BJS vs Murray was a typical but solid Saunders performance. He looked absolutely leagues ahead at parts, made Murray looked stupid and a couple of times it looked as though he would stop him but he never put his foot on the peddle enough to force that and just seemed happy to coast - perhaps happy to get the rounds in but certainly made him look lazy in parts. Outside of Lemieux, where he didn’t switch off at all and kept focussed, BJS has always had the habit of switching off in fights he is handily winning. Ryder, Sullivan and Eubank fights he was winning fairly well early and let them all back into it. Same with Andy Lee, after 4 rounds Saunders had been too quick, too switched on and had him down twice. Then he coasted for the rest of the fight and nearly let Lee win (it was only a majority decision in the end despite the 10-7 round). Against Canelo, he can’t switch off for a second. Khan showed that - he was boxing well on the outside and winning rounds only to start getting confidence and it showed with a horrific one shot knockout. Kovalev very similar, coasting into the championship rounds. You just feel at this weight and this stage of Billy’s career that Canelo will catch up with him at some point - he’s too good not to - and Saunders hasn’t shown anything that would make you think he’ll be able to stop him for 12 rounds
He was just messing around about the weight, he later says he has 4 stone to lose, by the end of it he says he has 5 stone to lose. I really am torn on this, we need Alvarez to be knocked off his perch for the good of boxing and to really kick everything into action but if BJS is the person who does it you just know that he'll kick back and mess around, 1 fight a year, injuries etc. I don't know if BJS can last the distance staying elusive enough but the more I think about this the more I think that it could become an extremely frustrating night for Alvarez and it could be the fight that everyone really notices the flaws he has although Golovkin 1 did that (he lost, it's not even a question in my eyes).
He looks in good shape to me weight wise, he def doesn’t have 3-4 stone to lose like stated. He’ll make 168 easy so he can focus on the technical side of his training etc. The problem is he isn’t a 168 fighter so as it’s been mentioned he has given up any advantages he has a few years back. I still think he’s tricky enough to do a better job than the likes of Smith, who simply allowed Canelo to forward forward and didn’t establish a jab. Anyway, I see BJS doing ok for 4-6 rounds and then fading. He’ll be very gracious afterwards ‘better man won’ etc. May never ever fight again. People will say it’s a wasted career but he’s got a golden ticket here. Been more deserving fighters buts that’s how it goes.
