Has anyone ever recreated Willie Pep's alleged feat of winning a round without throwing a punch?

I wasn't trying to be ornery or anything, I figured it wasn't your fault anyway.

 

It's never my fault, but I'm still trying not to get banned. There's certain fighters you can't criticize on here cause it triggers the elites, so im trying to play it cool

 

Yeah, I know how it is. Kind of. I've never actually been banned, but some fighters just have absolutely nothing wrong with them, right?

 

Well back in the 1950's some obscure fighter flew across the ring to start round one and threw wild swing which was ducked. The wild swing threw off the guy off balance and fell out of the ring, unable to return back into it. It was a knockout without a punch being thrown.

 

I think it probably has been done.

 

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but it almost happened last week IIRC. Broner won the first round on two cards without having landed a punch.

 

Mike Tyson almost knocked out Bruce Seldon without landing a real punch.

 

Yes I mentioned it above. Crazy, but true.
