Sadly I've lost almost all interest in this fight. The first fight happened a couple years too late. GGG is damed near a senior citizen when it comes to boxing. Holy crap, I just looked online and it says he's 38! I thought he was closer to 36. Shows how interested I am! Way too late now.

I am a fan of Canelo. Been since his beginning. I may give him crap, but it;s because, as THE Draw of the sport, he has a ton more pull and say who he fights. You understand there's only a couple boxers who can pick and choose who they want, when they want. And surprise, 3G is not one of those guys.

I watch boxing for one reason and one reason only, to see the fighters who make it to the top fight each other. If a top fighter is not going to fight other top fighters then I have no interest in following them.

Leo Santa Cruz is a top fighter I was big on at first, but his level of opposition was terrible. When he fought Mares and Frampton it sparked my interest but I wasn't as excited for him fighting as I was in the beginning.

Same with Golovkin. I started following Golovkin when they first brought him to the mainstream. I got on the bandwagon and bought the hype. I went to watch him fight Rubio at the Home Depot.

His relunctance to take on high risk low reward opponents despite claiming he was avoided turned me off. His refusal to fight Ward despite talking BIG, turned me completely away.
