Jackson I feel gets underrated skill wise, he’s just known for being a monster puncher when he could box a bit. I think Snr is cagey with him, moving a lot, then flurrying. I could maybe see a late tko for Snr but I’ve picked points.
Eubank mid to late round stoppage. Jackson may well land some good shots on the way but Eubank has the chin to handle them.
Interesting matchup. I think the clash of style will lead to an interesting chess match of sorts. I see this fight going 12. Eubank probably doesnt get knocked out because of his granite chin and Jackson probably lasts the distance due to Eubank's lack of a killer instinct (at least post Watson). I think that Eubank wins out in a tough fought UD.
Not exactly sure how this would turn out. One thing that is for sure: Eubank wanted no part of Jackson.
I can see Eubank fighting a cagey, safety first mostly for lot of the fight and taking Jackson s best shots. He'd see JJ tiring and move in on the attack in the very last couple of rounds. To either get a close decision or actually stop him. Great matchup.
Don King prevented this fight happening in Vegas in Feb 91 by wanting options on Eubank. I don’t think Team Hawk fancied the Eubank fight at all.
I am uncertain about questioning Chris’s courage concerning Jackson he did fight superior punchers at higher weight classes after all and a BIG CW at the very end of his career twice. Though Chris was an oddity and it is entirely possible... He is easily one of the strangest men in boxing.
Tend to agree. This was exactly the kind of fight Chris didn't see in any benefit in....if he's pushed in a corner than his granite chin and survivors instincts will result in a 9 round stoppage
