too bad all those fighters you mentioned are a lot more accomplished than watson who lost all the big fights of his career and whose career defining moment was running close a mediocre champion in eubank. Comparing eubank to them is like comparing warrington to marquez

Toney yes in the early 90s when he dedicated himself in the gym and was at his absolute best. Toney was a beast in his prime, but his physical prime only lasted until his mid-20s, until he started ballooning up in weight between fights, culminating in him having to cut way to much weight vs RJJ and being a shell of himself getting embarrassed, from then on while still talented and effective as a fighter, he slowly become known for being overweight and out of shape. There's not that many fighters like Toney who are past their physical prime by their late 20s. McCallum on the other hand maintained himself in good condition longer and stayed fit deeper into his career.

To me Eubank looked slightly better against Thornton than Toney did. Apart from running away in the last two and Toney staying in the pocket and winning the last two. And Toney was the undisputed p4p king at the time, as you say on forums.
Eubank beat Gimenez easy and yes both those guys would've beaten Castro. Castro was a blown up 160 pounder and Wharton was a savage punching 168 pounder with a thumping left hook that could fell an elephant. Rocchigiani would 100% have beaten Castro and like I said I'm a Castro fan.
It was clear in the second Eubank fight that he was elite. If he hadn’t broke his nose in sparring and had had a warm-up fight to sharpen up then I think he’d of beaten McCallum that night.
And to me Eubank was more impressive than McCallum against Watson in their first fight again until the running away in the last few rounds and McCallum by contrast turning up the heat. McCallum was turning Watson and countering to the body, Watson being too crab-like to get through to the head (until the hands came down late); Eubank was simply standing right in front of Watson and countering to the head without getting nailed - hardly anyone I’ve ever seen can do that, requiring tremendous reflexes
Nigel Benn landed maybe 4 or 5 times cleanly on Watson in six rounds - less than 5% success rate. That’s how crabby he was with that defense. Eubank was landing 2s and 3s at breakneck speed and not missing, in that first Eubank-Watson fight
