Good to see Sirenko staying active despite his slow progress in opposition. If you can't get bigger fights, the least fighters can do is stay active.
I take that back, Ustinov was knocked down heavily in the third but got up to finish the round. Dunno about the result. This content is protected
Of all the fights that Fury was accused of ducking, Ustinov is the only one where he sort of did. Now, to his defense, his Uncle was either dying or just died, but still, he pulled out on the day of the fight, if I remember correctly.
As I remember it, Ustinov was looking to be very well prepared and quite formidable for that fight too. The enigma thing works for Fury right now because he's current but when people look back from the future his legacy as it stands now is really missing wins against Haye, Ustinov (a little bit), Wlad rematch. He's only got this window of a few years or so open now, and I hope he doesn't waste it on 'could have happened' fights and negotiation sagas.
Haye was not his fault, though. And, call me crazy, but I still think we might see that one, even if it is now meaningless. Haye has said he will come back for the winner of Joshua-Fury, and Fury only fights for money. There is money to be made of the name of Haye yet. Strangely, I think if he beats Joshua, it all works out. If he had beaten Klitchsko again, he would have faced the underwhelming crew that Joshua faced, with Joshua himself, not yet a champion, added. Wilder never would have fought him in a thousand years if he looked good. Now, as things are, if he is lucky enough to beat Joshua, he will finish his career having beaten two greats and a third big rival in Wilder. Guy is crazy like a fox.
