He outshined the rest of the matchroom fc presenting team during the chisora vs usyk fight.

 

How ironic that his lack of self-awareness and his obvious comfort around all things Matchroom and Sky has ultimately led to him losing the oxygen of publicity that he loves the most.

 

Yeah it was him and Coldwell. Both said Chisora easily won the fight winning by a few rounds.

Macklin and Smith get stick but at least they were honest that Usyk was winning most of the rounds.

 

Macklin has no honesty - listen to his commentary at the end of the recent Barrett v Kiko Martinez fight where he declared that Martinez had rightly been the CLEAR winner only to state within 30 secs that he thought it was a draw. Then bizarrely he was asked by Smith how he was scoring the Warrington fight and he admitted that he was not scoring it.

Hope so. Good news if true. They probably gave it the benefit of the doubt to begin with by viewing it as ‘pashun’.

In reality it’s just embarrassing and detracts from the sport. Viewers don’t tend to watch ‘experts’ for propaganda, people want insight and education.

 

He was dreadful that night. I’m sure he messed up the Kiko fight a few times, he was saying around the 9th/10th that Kiko was clearly up and Barrett was in trouble then at the end said Zelfa swept the last 4 rounds to draw?

Laughable to say he wasn’t scoring the Warrington fight. What are they paying him for?

 

Doubt that's true. If one-sided commentary is frowned upon then there'd be nobody left on the Matchroom Sky payroll.

 

Tony Bellew was on BBC Breakfast this morning.
Trying to avoid the media but they just won't leave him alone.

 

Of all things, he was actually talking about social media need to be doing more in tackling online abuse.
You couldn't make it up.

 

Apparently he even talked about his gay brother being targeted by homophobic abuse online ....
..... this coming from a man whose own wife was filmed spewing direct nasty homophobic slurs at a couple of porters or caterers at the Manchester Arena.

 

Sunday Times Sport interviewed him at the weekend. Of course Bellew was flogging his ruddy book.

Bellew '' My biggest fear is being skint again.
Owns more than 20 properties. And commercial property.
Said he's tight with money, didn't want to give 15 per cent of rental income to a management company.
Minimum against Usyk was £ 4 million.

 

And all this time I thought Bellew's biggest fear was not getting home safely to the wife and kids.

 

They would surely come in handy if the shops start running out of bog roll again.

 

They just won't let him live the life of anonymity he so desperately craves, will they?
