I'd advise @scartissue to use google translate in several different languages, then input the translated title into YouTube search. I have found several fights that I couldn't find otherwise, usually in high quality to boot. Works particularly well for Japanese, Mexican and Korean broadcasts, but has served me for Thai broadcasts as well.

Joe Frazier vs. Oscar Bonavena I

Event: 21. September 1966, New York, Heavy Contest, 10 Rounds
    Joe Frazier: 1.82 m, 73“, 92.3 kg, 22 yr.
    Oscar Bonavena: 1.79 m, 73“, 93.0 kg, 23 yr.
The Ring Rating 1966: Frazier No. 6 HW, Bonavena No. 7 HW, as contenders

    Round 1: Frazier (10-9)
Frazier won the first round, but close. He was a tad more aggressive and had a few more hits at the end. Bonavena was throwing a good right hand on Fraziers chin though.

    Round 2: Bonavena (7-10)
Frazier was down from a short, crisp right and shortly afterwards from a left hook. Frazier survived the knockdowns and fought back courageously. Bonavena suffered a cut over the left eye.

    Round 3: Frazier (10-9)
Frazier landed quite a few more power punches, including some heavy body shots.

    Round 4: Frazier (10-9)
Frazier was more active, landed the better, cleaner punches. Especially one left hook was vicious.

    Round 5: Frazier (10-9)
Frazier with several hooks, particularly one very hard left hook in the infight. Bonavena with a granite chin, still dangerous and he could land a powerful left hook too.

    Round 6: Frazier (10-9)
The beginning of the round was a wild slugfest, but no really clear hits. Frazier was the aggressor for the rest of the round, also because of some good jabs.

    Round 7: Frazier (10-9)
Frazier puts some pressure on Bonavena and landed more effective punches. He apologized to Bonavena for a low punch.

    Round 8: Frazier (10-9)
Both fighters showed less footwork and fought toe-to-toe. Frazier was a little more convincing and scored a good right punch.

    Round 9: even (10-10)
A hard-fought and even round. Bonavena landed a brutal left hook and Frazier a hard straight right.

    Round 10: Bonavena (9-10)
A furious finish by Bonavena. He clearly won this round and landed the better, cleaner punches.

I scored it: 7-2-1 Frazier, 96-93 Frazier (ten point must system)
Judges scores: 6-4 Frazier, 5-4-1 Frazier, 5-5 draw (7-5 Bonavena on points)

Such a great, underrated fight. No one round seemed too spectacular when I watched it three years ago, but the cumulative effect of the fight made for a helluva fight.

Thanks, man, I hope my English was not too bad. I have spoken English many times in the past, but have rarely written in English.
Anyway, it was really a great and entertaining fight!

It was very good. Many English-speakers don't have command of the language themselves, so that makes it especially surprising!

Yes, excellent fight. Both Frazier-Bonavena fights were excellent, really.

Joe Frazier vs. Oscar Bonavena II

Event: 10. December 1968, Philadelphia, NYSAC World Heavy Title, 15 Rounds
    Joe Frazier: 1.82 m, 73“, 92.1 kg, 24 yr.
    Oscar Bonavena: 1.79 m, 73“, 93.9 kg, 26 yr.
The Ring Rating 1968: Frazier No. 1 HW, Bonavena No. 3 HW, as contenders

Round 1: Bonavena (5-4), close round
    Round 2: Frazier (5-4)
Round 3: Bonavena (5-4), close round, low blow from Bonavena
    Round 4: Even (5-5)
Round 5: Frazier (5-4), close and excellent round.
Round 6: Frazier (5-4), another close round
Round 7: Bonavena (5-4), good round by Bonavena
Round 8: Bonavena (5-4), close round, low blow from Bonavena, Bonavena with some good jabs (besides all these power punches)
Round 9: Frazier (5-4), clear round for Frazier
Round 10: Frazier (5-4), Frazier dominates, Bonavena is bloodied and often on the ropes, again low blow from Bonavena
Round 11: Frazier (5-4), close round but Frazier is the aggressor, the pace has slowed down
Round 12: Frazier (5-4), pretty close round
    Round 13: Frazier (5-4)
Round 14: Frazier (5-4), battle on the ropes
Round 15: Bonavena (5-4), hard-fought and close round

I scored it: 70-66 Frazier without point deduction for low blows (Five-point must system), 9-5-1 Frazier
Judges scores: 70-67 Frazier, 72-64 Frazier, 74-64 Frazier (probably Five-point must system)

    Notes:
    - The first half of the fight is hard-fought. In the second half Frazier can prevail
    - Joe Frazier’s performance was just impressive. What a nonstop punching machine!
    - Great chin and fighting spirit from Bonavena.
    - Frazier’s bob and weave with a cross guard style is more pronounced than in the first fight against Bonavena.

Of the two Frazier-Bonavena fights, which did you think was better? Which did you enjoy watching more?

I like both fights, but I think the second one was even better. The pace was higher and the bout was more balanced and I think all in all more exciting.
On the other hand, the first fight was shorter (just 10 rounds) and had two knockdowns (but only in one round).
Do you prefer one of them?

I do prefer the first one cuz it had more ebbs and flows I thought, but the second was great too. Choosing one over the other is a fine line imo.

Figured I'd rewatch this with the anniversary and whatnot. Also, I don't think I've ever done a proper scorecard post for one of these fights. As I recall, both of my cards were 144/140 for Joe.

First round was a close one. Ali landed lots of straights and showed his movement, buy Frazier found his timing with that left hook about a minute in, and every powwr punch from then on was from from Frazier. Think Ali nicked the second. Frazier lands heavy, but I liked Ali's combos and crosses. Close one, though. I thought that the third was pretty clear for Ali, in that he kept Joe at the end of his reach for the most part. But Frazier was investing in the body, and he made Ali really shell up at times. Ali boxing well, but I liked Frazier's hook. Some of them were just sickening. Ali took the fifth on my card due to activity, but the defence showed by both was amazing.

Frazier bashed Ali up in the sixth. Same again in the seventh. Frazier ducking and getting closer, and he's ripping the body. Frazier really got around Ali's guard in the eighth, and showed how frail it was. He's knackered. Real badass moment when Joe grabs Ali's high-guard, pulls him off the ropes and turns him. Ali's ninth really pulled things back. Hardest to score yet. Ali putting some good combos together, but getting nailed big. I gave it Ali, based on some of strangest looking crosses I've ever seen, but they landed.

That 'slip' in the eleventh not being called is a tragedy. Clear knockdown IMO. I'd call this one a two point round. Take away the slip for a second, and it's a round where Frazier smashed the **** out of Ali, had him badly hurt and all over the place, and where Ali's only success was verbal. Then add back in a blatant knockdown, and it's a 10-8, for me. Frazier hurt Ali at the start of the twelfth, and Ali threw some sharp stuff for man so tired. Good comeback, but not enough to win the round. Ali hit him with everything he could, and then got battered across the ropes. Some great action. I liked what Ali was doing in the fourteenth. Showing some of that clinch game which he'd show off vs Foreman, and looking sharp with his 1-2. It's inhuman that Ali got up from knockdown. Literally looking like the bounce from hitting the floor propelled him to his feet.

It was good to hear Moore commentate at times. One of my favourite lines was said here. In the fifth, I think it was. Don said something which really sums up Joe in a nutshell: "He's trying to stand and trade with Frazier - that's.... that's inadvisable."
