I thought John Henry Lewis was a serial killer.

Tyson always came across to me as a serious student of the history of boxing and had a good understanding and respect of the history as well. Wish he would just start posting on this forum. Cool little video @mark ant

John Henry Lewis was a great fighter. I find it hard to have a problem with him getting some love.

It's cool seeing them talk about Tom Molyneaux, though I'm not sure if a single thing they said about him was correct.

Thomas Molineaux (23 March 1784 – 4 August 1818), sometimes spelled Molyneaux, was an African-American bare-knuckle boxer and possibly a former slave. He spent much of his career in Great Britain and Ireland, where he had some notable successes. He arrived in England in 1809 and started his fighting career there in 1810. It was his two fights against Tom Cribb, widely viewed as the Champion of England, that brought fame to Molineaux, although he lost both contests. The result of the first encounter was hotly contested, with accusations of a fix. The second, losing contest with Cribb, however, was undisputed. His prizefighting career ended in 1815. After a tour that took him to Scotland and Ireland, he died in Galway, Ireland in 1818, aged 34.

There's basically no reliable information about Molyneaux in America, it's not even known which state he came from.

He never fought in Australia (I'm not sure if he was thinking of Peter Jackson since he said 1890s).

Cribb was a good fighter, but Hen Pearce and Jem Belcher were held in higher regard, and Belcher cam close to beating Cribb despite being out of shape and being blind in one eye.

In terms of the first fight itself, Molyneaux wasn't hit over the head with a pipe, or atleast there's no reliable evidence he was. In terms of the reports from the time, its reproted they got broke apart when Molyneaux had Cribb trapped on the ropes, otherwise Cribb's experience and skill seems to have made a big difference.
