Would Ali and Frazier have been too good for Fury and Joshua?

Yes and no - Ali would beat both. Frazier was too short and blind in one eye. But he could pull a Ruiz on Josh.

The American media does not influence me i am british. What does effect me is my knowledge of boxing for over 50 years. The amount of skill shown by Ali and Frazier in the FOC out weighs anything seen by Fury or Joshua

Ali beat Joshua in a decently competitive fight and goes life and death with Fury but beats both regardless. Fury had trouble with the slickness and small size of Cunningham. Fury has improved significantly but he has yet to fight anybody like that again so we dont know how he'd possibly deal with someone like Ali

Joshua could easily manhandle Frazier but would he ? He's not one to push his opponents around like Foreman and we have seen Joshuas only loss happen to be a short pressure fighter. That says something. Styles make fights. Ruiz is significantly larger than Frazier but so was Buster Mathis and Frazier tore him down. Frazier would easily be slipping Joshua's jabs and hooks but Joshua wouldn't be trying to infight with Frazier, he'd just clinch everytime Frazier gets in the pocket and would use his height. 6'4 Joe Bunger absolutely towered over Frazier so in this instance Joshua's height might be problematic. I think if Joshua fights Frazier like he did Pulev he'd beat him. He cant infight with Smokin Joe despite the size difference. Joshua is NOT Riddick Bowe. Hes a decent inside fighter as shown in the Takam fight but Joshua has trouble with shorter opponents and he'd be vunurable the the left hook counter. Joshua UD if he comes with the right gameplan otherwise he'd get stopped.

Whereas Fury would easily beat Frazier. It would just look like a Fury vs Chisora 3. Fury easily tieing him up everytime they both get in the pocket. The size difference is absolutely massive. Frazier has the power to hurt Fury as even pillowfisted cunningham put him down but it wouldn't get to that point. It would be a VERY one sided fight. Im sorry.

Ali got beaten or had very tough fights with a lot of small and non-elite guys and with fair officiating he'd have had twice as many losses. You get this cult of nostalgia (if there's not another agenda) in most sports. But the (as you pointed out, highly protected) "greats" of the past wouldn't be competitive at the top level 50 or 70 years on, in any sport.

American media has influenced all of the west for decades now. Ali and Frazier displayed a lot of skill and will in the FOTC but they were perfect dance partners for each other. That fight has no bearing on the kind of matchups they'd have with men who are much bigger, similarly skilled and probably hit much harder as a result of that size. AJ and Fury aren't invincible beasts but they're also no match for the old school who are a full weight class below.

Nostalgia influences people's opinions on past fighters too much, especially with the heavyweights. Anyone with sense knows they're much better off being compared to the cruiserweights of today (some of whom I'd find very interesting, imagine Usyk vs Ali, it'd be quite an intriguing matchup).

frazier loses to both i think. Ali probably outsmarts joshua.. i mean if a chubby ruiz can beat joshua so can ali lol. Fury would be a giant task but ali speed might be able to outpoint him.

As much as I like Ali, inside fighting was not a strength of his.

People blindly hoist Clay upon a golden pedastle like he untouchable, but truth be told his defense was pretty lousy, especially post 1970, which accounts for a significant portion of his career...
Now I'm not saying Clay wasn't tough, or couldn't take a punch....it's just that he had a habit of taking too many....
You can get away with that fighting guys 210 and 220 for a while, but try those tactics against any of the modern day Big 3 and you're gonna wind up getting KOd.
Even timid Wlad would have a great shot at KOing Cassius Clay.

And as for Frazier, man is think he would just be too small

Almost ridiculous topic. This Colin Hart character is drowning in nostalgia - it's super cringey.

Fury & AJ go 4-0, at their worst 3-0-1 or 3-1 (unlikely) vs Ali & Frazier.

I actually think Jack Johnson & Jess Willard, with modern training, would be more competitive vs Ali & Frazier than Ali & Frazier vs Fury & AJ.
