Would Ali and Frazier have been too good for Fury and Joshua?

Fury couldn`t have floored Ali the way Frazier did in the 15th round of that bout and wasn`t that much lighter than Wilder was in his first fight v Fury.

Yes it was a hook from a shorter fighter that floored AJ.

Yes AJ and Fury most likely beat both comfortably. The 70s was probably the first time the heavyweight division was stacked and everyone was fighting each other but that doesn’t make the fighters invincible.

Boxing was far better then, boxers were better schooled, American boxers were better back then.

Ali was faster and more skilled than AJ is and he punched harder than Fury aside from Fury`s rematch with Wilder, but the shots Fury hit Wilder with were not harder than the shots Shavers caught Ali with, Ali`s chin was far better than AJ`s and his stamina proven in the fight of tyhe century going full on for 15 rounds beats anything AJ does, AJ couldn`t fight at that pace for 15 rounds.

Ali had better head movement and defensive reflexes than AJ and he had a faster jab, Pulev was a small heavyweight and that was a cagey fight, Ali had more KO`s on his record than Pulev does and he was far more skilled.

He didn't say that at all. Reread what he wrote. He said they wouldn't be competitive at the top level 50-70 years later on.

Ali was quicker than AJ and Frazier had a higher work-rate than AJ and Fury.

If we're going off of 'AJ lost to Ruiz and Fury got dropped by Cunningham, so they must lose Clay'.....
Well Clay lost to Spinks and got gift decisions against Norton and Shavers....

Do you see how that works?

Too much size power and ability, athletes/fighters develop over the space of 50 years......

Ali was masterful..... but for starters he isn't knocking Fury out and given the disadvantage in size, reach enhanced by the fact of how ****ing awkward Fury can be when he wants too, he's not outboxing him either.

Ali was in decline by the time he met Shavers and Spinks and much older in those bouts that Fury and AJ were in the bouts you mentioned, plus Ali was not dropped in those bouts despite Shavers being a harder puncher than Cunningham and Ruiz, Norton was a lot better than Cunningham, Norton fought for the world title while Cunningham never got to that level and was never rated in the top 10 as a heavyweight.

Boxing has gone backwards since Ali`s era and Fury would find Ali harder to hit than anybody he`s faced same goes for AJ.

Much lesser and smaller fighters than Fury landed on Ali. For a man of 6 foot 9 & 270+ pounds he moves quick.

Likewise if Fury wanted to go on the back foot and be awkward Ali would have his struggles also.... just look at Wlad who himself has a laser jab, longer reach and more height than Ali yet couldn't land a glove on Fury when he chose to box.
