Eh...in a word, no. His best competition to date by a damn sight is Bimbito Méndez, and he was throughly outclassed by the skilled but feather-fisted Puerto Rican on two separate occasions:

...mind, I do rate Bimbito, but Kyōguchi's a whole spectrum of other-colored horses, each racing around the pasture with a different kettle of fish balanced in the saddle.

 

Aragón is rated #10 by the WBA, so not as if Kyōguchi were caught reaching down the barrel up to his armpit, necessarily - by conventional reckoning this is a perfectly fine challenge, but in truth probably a fair couple dozen clearly better light flies than Aragón exist. He did just recently beat a swell journeyman in Baby Juárez, but that's all that buffers him from the second Méndez loss - and that oughtn't do it for a top ten ranking.

This could be less than a quarter as good as most of us anticipate it will be, and it'd make it 50x better than any fight of your beloved Gypsy King. So yeah, might want to watch.
