Could Kostya Tsyzu have beaten any of the top names in divisions around him?

Floyd Mayweather avoided Tszyu, he must have known Kostya would probably beat him.

I tend to agree, but I could see Gatti giving him trouble if we got the 2003-2004 version

Probably not the favourite against any of them...but couldnt really write tyszu off after the zab fight...the way he measured the right hand against him...even up against zabs speed.

Still reckon he,d have been one of floyds biggest threats to a defeat.

Tszyu would have beaten the **** out of Gatti. Gatti had pretty much no defense for a straight right hand, Tszyu’s best punch. Tszyu started declining around the time that Gatti had a belt at 140, but it wouldn’t have mattered. Gatti had a ton of mileage on him as well and was never as good as Tszyu

Tszyu against Cotto in around 2004-05 would have been an excellent match.

yes, his loss to Philips cost him. KT could have cruised to a decision win but went for the KO and gassed; and there were rumours that his preparations were compromised.

No way is the Mosely fight 50/50. Mosley during that period was a pure beast. Kostya gets stopped before 6.

He looked a beast beating up fairly average lightweights, didn't look quite as devastating against DLH and certainly not against Vernon Forrest. Tszyu is beatable for sure but so was Mosley who while he does have the power and speed to win this but I wonder how he'd react to a a few flush right hands or left hooks from a concussive puncher like Tszyu ??

As if Kostya wasn't a ''beast'' too

Brutal power in both hands, fast (oh yes he was), incredible accuracy, fantastic amateur pedigree, very durable and tough. Won all his world titles in his opponent's backyards, unified them in his opponent's backyards, and almost half of his fights were on the road too, most of which being world title fights

And he was a highly skilled boxer when he wanted to switch it up, particularly before he fell in love with his power

Well, ODH and Forrest were tall, fast and could box. Tszyu was a different animal all together. Vince Philips and Hatton whooped the stew out of KT. Means nothing when facing Mosely. Their styles were completely different. This is a very interesting mythical match up. I just think Mosely's speed, power and explosiveness would get KT out of there. Good match up while it lasted.
