So since the fight is going ahead now pretty much guaranteed, lets start discussing who's going to win and how we believe the fight will go.

I think Fury will take this one via U/D. He'll dance around AJ and I think he'll try to make it a boring fight as it suits him that way.

He had to take the fight to Wilder as Wilder prefers range. Fury has the clear advantage at range and on the back foot. Fury would be stupid going after AJ unless he's really hurt.

I've got this crazy feeling that it'll be a replay of Fury-Wilder fights. First fight a controversial draw, second one Fury by stoppage.

Fury badly cut in the 6th round and in fear of it being stopped by the doctor Tyson tries to take the fight to AJ who puts him down, Fury rises but a combination of being badly cut and looking disoriented the ref is forced to stop the fight.

    Joshua TKO 8 FURY

Fury comes out aggressively but at some point early on gets clipped and goes down. He reverts to his usual more defensive style and the rest of the fight is a competitive chess match. Fury finishes stronger
AJ wins a controversial to some, split decision with the early knockdown being the deciding factor in his victory

I think it will go to decision. Joshua is a much better inside fighter than Wilder, so Fury can't fight him the same way. He's still the superior boxer at range, tho, and he has an even greater reach advantage against Joshua than Wilder. If he reverts to Wilder I/Wladimir, he probably wins an 8-4/9-3 decision.

This fight is too hard to predict clearly. Too many factors.

Here's how I think the fight will go down... First round or two will be cagey with low punch output, Fury boxing on the outside, AJ stalking Fury, jabbing to the body but remaining tentative. In round 3 AJ will up the tempo, he'll try and slip Fury's jab or just walk through it to start landing combinations, mixing up his combinations by means of throwing to the head and landing a couple of heavy shots to the body to get Fury thinking all the while trying to break him down. If he can get Fury to duck a shot expect AJ to throw uppercuts. also expect Joshua to be rough in the clinches and attempt to throw uppercuts if Fury tries to lean in him. Fury will continue to establish the jab and try and box on the outside, using his slick movement, trying to avoid engaging and hoping to tire AJ out because of Aj's limited gas tank. He'll hold and grapple AJ as much as he can, leaning on him at every opportunity to try and drain his energy as well

My ultimate prediction ? Joshua Late TKO.

Styles make fights. Joshua is not gunshy Klitschko or 1 handed Wilder. Joshua is a stiff and methodical boxer puncher/counter puncher so the obvious choice should be Fury because he has the time of his life with Conventional fighters right ? While on paper Fury should be a stylistical nightmare for Aj i don't see it that way, we've already seen Aj's nightmare style in Ruiz who happens to be the exact opposite of Fury. From what i can tell the type of opponents Aj struggle with are short fighters like Ruiz, Povetkin and Takam. Aj struggled with slick cuban Erislandy Savon but Savon was exchanging with Aj a LOT and moving in and out of range. Savon wasn't being overly negative like Fury was against Klitschko and Savon was also a lot smaller than Fury. That means his hitbox was smaller. Savon was quicker than Fury handspeed wise as well while Aj was slower back then. Aj has improved since the Klitschko fight and the Savon fight and knows how to apply pressure like against fighters who use their height like Ivan Dychko in the Olympics. Klitschko had success pressing the action against Fury in round 12 and Wallin had success pressuring Fury in the early rounds as well. Aj is pretty good on the front foot and is a better combination puncher than Wlad

I think Aj outworks Fury in the early rounds, really targets the body more in the middle rounds while getting outboxed, wears him down and TKOs him in round 9

Impossible to predict but these two fight deals almost always guarantee a strange end to the first fight.

AJ who has stamina problems is gonna stop somebody in the later rounds? AJ has 6 rounds to stop Fury, no more.

You kind of sound like the people who said Lopez had no chance to win a decision against Lomachenko

This is very possible. I've said that the odds of Fury using his training from Sugar Hill Steward isn't low and he could come out agressive, get put down and then revert back to his pure boxing

Tough one. So far it's closer here than I would have expected.

I think Fury must make AJ respect his power to win this one. I don't think he's going to win by just landing enought wo win most rds but do little damage, like he did against Wlad. AJ is more aggressive than that Wlad and Fury is no longer quite as light on his feet as he was then.

I think AJ eventually will time him and catch him. But, as I said, tough call.
