Yeah Fury played no part in his losing of the titles, totally innocent, he is above Joe Louis in defending of the titles isn't he.....? oh no forgot he never has defended them.

Fury will be rusty. I think we all know that.
If people want to make that a factor before, after or during the fight, win, lose or draw, it's a valid point.

But we know that going in, so whoever picks Fury to win beforehand shouldn't use it as an excuse afterwards.

I'd give AJ more credit if he wins that I'll give Fury if he wins.
Because, from where I'm standing, fat Ruiz already beat the crap out of AJ just three fights ago, so Fury will have to do better than that to really make an impact.
Whereas AJ has the opportunity to be "first to defeat Fury", so if he does it convincingly, he's going to get a lot of credit.

Think Joshua will have his moments and take a handful of rounds but also think Fury will employ his more traditional style on the back foot unlike what was seen in his last fight. I think Fury will rack up rounds and Joshua will fade late after a significant onslaught, resulting in a late Fury stoppage or Fury cruising on points, depending on how much Joshua gives to stop him. I think stoppage maybe round 9 or 10, or alternatively a Fury points win. Wouldn’t rule out a Joshua stoppage however.

Hatton was a heavy underdog against Pacquiao, for good reason.
Fury is probably going to be favourite against AJ, for good reason.
At best, AJ is considered a "50-50" against Fury.

You can't really compare Fury to Hatton.

I think 55/45 for Fury because Fury is large, NOT OLD and looks that best A.J fights were with boxers smaller and older than Fury is.
Ruiz was not enough old and already problems happened.

Well, AJ will be the first out of three quality opponents to beat Fury if he does.

And I don't think the loss to Ruiz devalues a win over him as much as you do. Holy lost to a blown up, pudgy LHW and Lewis lost to McCall and limited Rahman. Wlad, Fury's best win, lost to fighters that weren't any better than Ruiz.

A loss is not the end of the world to me. It will happen if you keep facing quality opponents. So for me a win over Fury isn't really more valuable than one over AJ.

And, as you say, those picking Fury with confidence now shouldn't make excuses if he loses. But they will. Like there's no tomorrow.

Joshua has been destroyed , utterly and completely by lard-ass Ruiz. People act as if that was a fluke or redeemed because he danced around and pecked Ruiz to a lame decision in the rematch.

Fury will blowout Joshua. He can outbox him or destroy him, but I imagine it'll be a bit of both. A tale of two halves if you will.

Do not believe there will be any need for a rematch. Joshua won't be taking it anyways.

Holyfield was not thrashed by Moorer like AJ was against Ruiz. The fight was close, and it showed Holyfield had slipped, anyway.
And, the point is, Ruiz beating AJ was just 3 fights ago.
Lewis and Wlad had to re-establish themselves, of course.

AJ has never knocked out anyone much good and under the age of 39.
And he was KO'd by a fat guy.
People won't give Fury much credit really. They'll look at those facts and dismiss AJ as a bit of a hype.

Legacy-wise, AJ has far more to gain here.
Even with Fury being rusty or not having a truly great resume, it'll be an impressive feat on paper to beat undefeated Fury.
