A bit early yet in Taylor’s career to make a solid comparison. At this point, you’d favour a prime Ricky vs Taylor now because that style was like no one else’s. The few come forward bruisers that Taylor has beat have nothing on Hatton who would be on his chest for 12 rounds duffing him up.

However if Taylor keeps going from strength to strength from where he is now you’d certainly see him surpass Ricky soon enough.

 

Ricky is being very disrespected in here for me. Far too early to say taylor plays with him. Hes beat nobody that prime hatton wouldnt have beaten imo.

In short, peak Hatton was by miles the better fighter, but is terrible against southpaws so Taylor by stoppage.

I loved Hatton and I really like Taylor. I feel Taylor would be a little bit too good and Land the more eye catching head shots on the way to a narrow points win. I think he’d be hurt once or twice on the way maybe.

What a great fight this would be. Potentially explosive.
