What division would Hagler have been in today?

Cheers for the pics and on those he is clearly carrying a bit of timber, just imagine how small he would be beside them when he was fighting.

Different era's so we can't really compare but it's clear to see he would be a tiny MW today if he fought.

Well he'd be allowed the same tech that makes smaller fighters bigger when he decides he wants to move up. But yeah, the progress in recovery from weight making are enormous and lots of fighters would benefit.

I would like to think he would not cheat by taking ped's if that is of course what you mean.

I suppose the science behind it all nowadays is much more advanced regardless wether cheating or not.

Golovkin is clearly much bigger than Hagler in every metric barring maybe fist size, his fists were huge Haglers.

Just look at the head size and neck size difference, I wouldn't call it a far shout to say Golovkin would be almost 20lb bigger in the ring.

Of course. Of course he'd use PEDs. But let's be clear, there are PEDs and there are PEDs. Some of them aren't even illegal and maybe these are the ones he would value, but even so far as illegal ones go there are degrees. Cycling in and out in preparation for moving up in weight is one thing, cycling in and then out to speed up recovery from injury, another, and training to enhance speed and explosivity in pursuit of causing further harm another again.

Being absolutely honest, I don't have an enormous problem with people using drugs to gain weight so they're competitive in higher weightclasses. It's certainly not comparable to what Baby Miller was up to, for example.

I have no doubts with today's champions he would have been a champion in more than one division.
