Joshua has fossil vlad, old povetkin and beltholder parker as marquee wins, fury has completely shot vlad and below average champ wilder as highlights. best case, a convincing wil will put either at the height of vitali, the lesser klitschko, in other words they are closer to bruno than to lewis. if they retired today they would be forgotten in less than a decade.

Even if they were really goats neither would be a GOAT.

Both records are more than sufficient for someone having them in their top 10s. It's a subjective list after all and completely down to preference.

Frazier whom you listed, is 5-4 in title fights, Holyfield too is 10-7. Both Fury and Joshua have had good quality opposition including one atg, it will be one more with either on their record. I think you'd be hard pressed to state they definitely wouldn't have a shout for a top 10 place.

Frazier has a 9-2 Record in Title fights and he cleaned out the division; and picked up wins over Mathis, Bonavena, Quarry, Ellis, Bugner, Foster and Ali.

Holyfield's has 10-7-2 Record in Title Fights and his wins over Tyson, Bowe, Moorer, Mercer, Ruiz, Rahman, Foreman, Douglas and Holmes is better than what either figher has at this point regardless of outcome.

Neither record is sufficient of entering the Top 10 even with a win, but the good news for them, is that they still have time.

Are you insane? GOAT? Why do people want to rush every modern athlete into the GOAT territory? The winner will be crowned the best heavyweight of 2021, or recent history but neither of these guys is in the GOAT discussion.

Haven't seen anything from either of these guys that would suggest GOAT status

Again you're naming fighters that are around the same level of those on the resume of Fury and Joshua (discounting ali). Rose tinted glasses are a difficult thing to remove I've found.

Regardless, the list is subjective and down to personal preference so what I've stated is indeed correct, the winner will have an argument for top 10 irrespective of whether you agree or not.

The consider Ali the GOAT at HW but as great as he undoubtedly was his powers of prophecy were nowhere near as accurate as The Gypsy King's whose accuracy rate for making predictions is in the high 90 percent range.

And Fury at 270lbs of giraffe/walrus hybrid was slicker than a 200lb Ali.

Absolutely not. Fury and Joshua's best wins were over an aging Wlad. It's common knowledge that Vitali was better than his brother, and Lennox Lewis beat him.

And I wouldn't favour Lennox Lewis in the 70's era of Heavyweight boxing.

Our current top heavyweights are low on the All-Time Heavyweight food chain.

Where does the winner rank in terms of top heavyweights of all time is a better question.
If fury wins I think he's top 20/25.
    Joshua maybe top 25/30.
