So.....Tyson was KOing 6ft4+ heavyweights with ease in his prime but he would get KOd by the smallest guy he ever faced?
Name me some 6ft4 (and over) heavyweights that Tyson knocked out. Then go list me the size/weight of the heavyweights Tyson got KOd by.
Mike Jameson David Jaco Sammy Scaff Lou Savarese Jose Ribalta Andrew Golota Tyrell Biggs Tyson would destroy Marciano
Well off the top of my head I can name you only one that Tyson KO'd with ease in his prime. Biggs Can you name another?
Mike Jameson - wasn't easy and needed a gift stoppage from Joe Cortez David Jaco - coming off two KO losses Sammy Scaff - again coming off two KO losses Lou Savarese - not Tyson's prime and saverese was fringe at best Jose Ribalta - gift Stoppage in the final round. Andrew Golota - NC Tyrell Biggs - I agree. So that is one.
I can't believe that this has gone on for 200 posts. I love Marciano, but geez, pay up your life insurance before this one. Tyson could have beaten any smallish cruiser in history.
He would have beat Holyfield in his prime, and Holyfield was on HGH anyway. Tyson't best fight was ten year, a jail sentence, and tons of drugs and alcohol before his first fight with Holy.
Holyfield was on anabolics, HGH, and was headbutting He shouldn't have even been allowed in the ring due to his PED usage Holyfield is a natural cruiserweight ... Without exogenous substances he's too small to fight Tyson ... Unless he just decided to build mass naturally but then he would lose some of it during training and still be too small for Tyson
lol Marciano wouldn’t last five rounds with prime Tyson and I am an old timer who thinks the past generations of heavyweights are better than this current crop.
I wonder what Marciano would weigh in at with the late 80s "training methods" instead of his post-war diet. How heavy would Marciano need to come in at to be competitive with Mike? 210lbs? How realistic would it be for him to put on another 20lbs of muscle on his frame? Seems like a lot.
