    Round 7

Ortíz is whipping hard left hooks into the body, ignoring the frantic jabs of Hooker. Ortíz is crashing in hard roundhouse body shots with both hands, ramping up the intensity and laying some massive power on Hooker. Despite attempting to cover his body, all Hooker ends up doing is getting his elbows smashed up - and this results in one getting dislocated by Ortíz's barrage?! Hooker down, clutching his elbow, counted out!

    KO7!!!

Impressive by Ortiz, Hooker is underrated and a real dog and even though I had Ortiz sweeping 5 of the rounds he was very competitive and landed some big shots of his own. Shame it had to finish on an injury like that but Ortiz was coming on really strong and it looked like the stoppage was coming soon anyway.

I don't think Ortiz is ready for Crawford or Spence, but I also don't see any other fights he can take that wouldn't be a step back, both in opponent quality and fan interest. Ugas maybe? The ratings to fights that he main events suggests some significant interest in him that I can never understand.

Well there's injuries and there's injuries. Even if the last straw was Hooker throwing a right hand and causing that last bit of unbearable damage to his own arm, it still was softened by all the crunching impact from Ortíz's punches accumulating the whole time Hooker was blocking his body onslaught. This was no fluky ending - Ortíz just destroyed his limbs to where he couldn't persist. That is some macho ish. :sisi1

I say do it now and run it back if it's close... It's the best fight for Crawford for as long as he's frozen out. For either guy to win they'll have to raise their games to another level, sounds like a classic to me.

I favor Crawford and Spence versus Ortiz today but he's very close behind them.
