Hooker inviting the Hagler-Minter treatment on his way back to the locker room there. Love it.

I'm just going by what the commentary team said and I just saw him holding his arm on the canvas like there was seemingly something wrong with it. Injury or not, Ortiz was coming on strong and the stoppage was coming soon anyway because those rips downstairs were brutal.

I hear what you saying but I would rather see Crawford Ortiz then Crawford fighting another guy like Kell Brook

True Crawford doesn't have an opponent but I'd like to see someone else.

Lol I feel you but Ortiz has some great fights to make other than Crawford imo.

Ortíz has now provided abundance of evidence of being capable of beating a couple of styles operating at least at roughly fringe world class levels - both slick workhorses (Herrera, Solomon, and now Hooker) and tough grinders (JC Salgado, Roberto "Massa" Ortíz, Antonio Orozco, and Sam Vargas) - the only thing we haven't seen is how Vergil handles a fellow massive puncher.

Not that I have major worries about his chin based on anything so far - but what I'm saying is, he probably isn't losing to an Ugás or Porter as he is already established as proficient at beating guys of their archetype, if slightly lesser versions. It'll be someone like a Rougarou, probably, if anyone (but let's hold off until Prograis debuts at welter before delving too far into that).

Bud or Spence, hm. Idk. But he's a live dog against either, that's for sure.

Yeah, part of this is I don't want him to wait until Crawford is 40 and it's a sure thing. Lose to Crawford in 2022 then beat him in 2025.
