Did it not? Was Canelo absolutely certain to win? Did Kovalev have no chance?

You know the answer to these questions. So betting the house on Canelo was risky? Yes.

As I posted already a day before the match, there was minimal risk. Post below:

Is Canelo really at risk though? I’m not trying to cause problems but if you look at it objectively how much risk is there truly?
    1. Canelo showed he can take a punch as GGG who is heavy handed, landed several on him and he shook it off. YesKovalev hits as hard or harder but Canelo has shown a granite chin. Minimal risk fighting Kovalev vs GGG for a third time.
    2. Since he most likely won’t be ko’d and since he has a history of judgements in his favor especially in Las Vegas, he will win a decision as long as his corpse is standing after round 12.
    3. Kovalev was hand picked by Canelo and every odds maker is giving Canelo the win. These guys usually know morethan the rest of us.
How much risk is there really? Minimal to none.

Okay, Canelo KO'd the ****faced haggard corpse of the Krusher, impressive.

But I guess he didn't fancy his chances very much at 175 either.:D

    Quack, Quack.

Kovalev was nearly beaten by Yarde who got beat by flipping Lyndon Arthur, a guy who was fighting 12 rounds with ONE HAND. If that doesn't prove that Kovalev was way past it, and that this Canelo fight meant nothing, what does?

Kovalev would have murdered Gingerbread 3 or 4 years ago.
