I would have voted confidently for Povetkin had the rematch occurred earlier and without his covid hospitalization. I think Povetkin will come into this fight weaker than before.

But, Whyte is such a crappy fighter that I wouldn't be surprised if a weak Povetkin knocks him out again. Whyte is the most overrated C level fighter in quite some time.

BTW has Aydamm come back for this? Probably has, just need to read this thread and see who the biggest fanboy alt is.

Got $30 on Povetkin. I don't think Whyte is as good as advertised.

    :D

To be fair it's probably hard to remain chipper given how much sh1t he's had to eat from WBC/Sullaiman since December 2016.

Whyte is never getting a title shot lmao

Only way Whyte gets a title shot is if AJ skips his Fury rematch

Is there another rematch clause if Povetkin loses this time?

"What is losing? Where there is no losing, there also is no winning. By losing we learn, we heal, we are reborn. Losing carves a path towards growth and to achieve that growth we have to walk that path. It is not the beginning or the ending, but the journey that matters. Search your feelings, explore the world surrounding you, experience the universe. To engage with the universe is to become one with it and for me to beat Alexander Povetkin I must become Alexander Povetkin."

Do you mean since 2020 begun or the last ten years in general?

As Ruiz beating AJ was a far bigger upset

    The man's a regular philosopher.

And perhaps a zen monk as well.

During the post-fight presser, I wouldn't be surprised if he reveals the meaning of life.

Well, if you are their fan, then yeah. Ofc this was upset.
There still is difference: Ruiz is not old and isn't after Covid. Ruiz also wasn't lighter than A.J.
Povetkin really is old and small for modern HW. Whyte isn't old.
Ppl had predicted Whyte to win. It didn't happened.
Now if 41 y.o after covid Povetkin will beat him again, this will be big surprise.
Not likely but if this will happen, then it will be damn big upset.

Not a fan of either of them

But from a casual POV its the biggest HW upset since Tyson lost to Douglas

If Whyte loses again they will run it back a third time, and if needed a fourth until Whyte can finally beat Povetkin.

If Povetkin loses, then Whyte is right back in the driver's seat towards a title and the chances of a rubber match is 0.00000000000000000000014297648%
