Well, now it is going till politics and back problems.
When western boxer does have health problems, this doesn't devalue his legacy.
When western boxer ( there had been a lot such boxers ) had been involved in politics after fighting career, had been in prisons before or during or after fighting career, even bad habits this looks doesn't impact their legacy as boxers in eyes of western fans. Btw I agree with this.
If this is EE boxer, then everything is good to use devalue their boxing legacy.

Aren't there dual criteria to evalue boxers legacy?
Back problems but Vitaly was world champion when he was 41 y.o, with or without back problems. Lewis retired when he was 38 y.o.

I'm not gonna argue but he seemed like the more dependable out of the two. What I meant to say is that those things we mentioned, kept him out of the ring for plenty of time. He was so great, that there's always the shoulda, woulda, couldas. Ring magazine has him rated lower than wlad to tell you the truth.

Yeah and I do know reason.
Vitaly usually, if not always had been ranked only by boxrec and WBC cos he was under their ranking and looks didn't had asked other orgs to rank him.
Wlad fought for different titles, not only one from main org titles. Looks that this seriously impacted his ranking by The Ring cos The Ring ranks overall all, not only ranking in one ranking list.

Fans who had also boxed? From ppl I do know, a lot had picked Lewis win via stoppage in first their match.
Scoring? 7 ppl had gave this to Holyfield and 4 to Lewis and 5 guys I know more had agreed that this was a draw.
Media ? I did not had enough followed their opinions about this.

Ohh, this fight Vitaly vs Wlad might had been sold damn well.

    I lurked about their belts.
Looks that Vitaly once had WBO World Title belt and 2 defenses but later he wasn't under WBO ranking. Most likely cos Wlad moved under WBO ranking and had 2 reign periods: first with 5 title defenses and second period with 14 title defenses.
Wlad also had IBF World Title and 18 title defenses. Vitali looks that did not had been under IBF ranking at all.
then Wlad also had some WBA belts, I had been tired to dig deeper about these belts.

While Vitaly almost always was under WBC and had WBC World Title.

I think this for them was comfortable: one brother with WBC belt and other with titles from other orgs. In their culture is not appreciated to fight with brother for money. This might had impacted their business and political career after retirement. Had been told that their mother too didn't allowed them to fight with brother.

Lewis’s resume craps all over either Klitschko and it’s not even close!

Just a few of the quality fighters on Lewis’s resume: Mason, Tyson, Bruno, Holyfield x 2, Mercer, Klitschko, Biggs, Morrison, Briggs, Tucker, Tua, Ruddock, Golota, Grant, Akinwande, Mavrovic, McCall, Rahman & Bowe who lost without even stepping in the ring - Lewis’s resume is stacked with quality fighters that would clean up today!

For western fans always any western boxer's resume will look better than EE boxer's resume.
It is irreversible reality and no one should waste time with discussions in forums about this.

Thanks to God these russians and ukrainians does have also their own forums where to talk about boxing. Without western fans posts.

If you think that Golota might beat A.J or Fury, then I do not know what to tell you. Pulev he for sure might beat up.
Tyson and Holyfield : before fight vs Lewis a lot of ppl predicted that Lewis will quickly KO / TKO them.
Old lions fight vs young lion. Classic. Btw Holy and Tyson performed better than I had expected cos Lewis looked so athletic, so large and powerful.

Lewis wasn't lucky vitali got cut, Lewis was the guy who went out there and cut and him. If anything, vitali was lucky, he was running out of steam even faster than Lewis and eating flush punches over the final two rounds, a lot of people believe he was well on his way to getting KOd.
Andrew Golota in 1997 was more dangerous than anyone Wlad tussled with. Golota wasn't undefeated, but his only losses were by DQ and the elites over at Ring and KO were singing his praises high to the heavens.
Same could be said about David Tua.
I can't even think who was the best guy Wlad beat...calvin brock? Sultan ibragmiov? ....please

Don't worry, everyone does knows that Lewis won this one.
And also that he ducked rematch with Vitaly: initially in media had been posted that this will happen and then Lewis retired.
This is ultimate proof how bad boxer Vitaly was.
If Vitaly was so bad as you try to represent him, Lewis had scheduled rematch II and rematch III and earned millions worth paychecks with easy nights in office. :campeon:

I know that you usually do everything to devalue all EE boxers resumes in forums discussions.
How bad they were and how overvalued etc alike.
