However like for like goods are generally cheaper in the US than in the UK, seems strange that PPVs would be exception.

The general population have shown that there not that intrested hence why its not a mainstream sport. There trying to change that with big marketing budgets....that ppv pays for.

He was a little bit more defined, yes. He's definitely softer, but not crazily so. I reckon he's basically banking on a KO win and hasn't prepared to go 12 at his optimal capacity. He knows that either he or Whyte will be KO'd. He's definitely not in his best nick but he's a middle-aged man.

I don't really care at all. But I do question how people believe everything they're told without any sort of proof whatsoever. I understand that the forum is anti-Whyte and it will be the first thing that people cite if indeed Whyte wins. I like Povetkin, but I'm definitely not going to believe something that could so easily be nonsense.

Good luck with your recovery, anyway.

This is far from the best Povetkin, that is for sure. If Whyte loses then he will be kicking himself, but he knows that PPV loot will still follow at some stage. Look at Chisora.

You work for Sky or Matchroom trying to flog PPV on here?

Haha. That's right. That is the exact opposite of mainstream.

Yes, because Eddie Hearn has spread the word that every second-rater is now a PPV fighter.

Honestly, Whyte and Povetkin in 2021 are not deserving of a particularly high rung at all. In reality, this fight is only marginally more prestigious and appealing than Hughie Fury v Kubrat Pulev which was Channel 5 a couple of years ago.

You mean they aim to put some of the profits from their latest mediocre PPV show into marketing their next mediocre PPV show.

This fight is the equivalent of something like Michael Sprott v Matt Skelton in the mid 00's, which was on ITV for free.

Except people are being asked to pay 20 quid for it.

    Big marketing budgets?

Most of the marketing is done via social media. They don't need to do third-party marketing because it's a sky production... it's pretty much all done in house. What types of marketing are you referring to? Do you think Sky and Hearn are paying the BBC £5,000,000 for Whyte to appear on Masterchef?

The biggest disgrace is that Eric Molina who has won one fight in the last three and-a-half years is the chief support.

I'm just surprised he's shilling so hard for the Matchroom/Hearn/SKY BO party line.
It's fine saying "I don't mind paying, I like this fight" but those Hearn-like arguments for how all these PPVs are absolutely necessary, and in fact a good thing for the fans .... I'm surprised anyone here would believe that.
