    From my understanding, Whyte was the mandatory as he had been so for years.
    No idea whats going on with the mandatory status now as Whyte lost but not in an official eliminator. And the WBC does make up it´s rules as they go.
    And no, Povetkin is not the mandatory, nor is this officially for the mandatory position.

    *Well, the interim belt is on the line. Technically, the interim champ is the mandatory, but not really.
