Before Fury I would have said Wilder but I think he is done mentally and Fury showed the blueprint to beat Wilder.

Because his resume is better and deeper than Wilder's, pretty simple really.

There's a nice split on the poll. 25 for Wilder, 14 for Whyte so far. On boxing terms, that's pretty close.

Maybe you should do a comparison of their top 5 wins. Should be a good laugh.

It's more a case of not wanting to waste my time. Anyone who thinks this fight is a foregone conclusion either way, is an idiot.

So basically the winner of this next fight fights Fury or Joshua after Usyk?

You called out someone else on this thread for not backing up their argument but don't do it yourself
Now you're throwing thinly veiled insults around like you're an authority
If you think Whyte beats Wilder, give your reasons, we're on here to debate and discuss that's the point.
Don't bait people then hide behind non statements that's the mark of a troll

If Wilder was serious about getting back on the horse he would have fought Charles Martin. Ego crushed + extended period of inactivity at this age = probably finished. Whyte will also probably want to freeze Wilder out and sit on his mandatory position: he won't want to get Povetkin'd again and Wilder still may be very dangerous. He'll want a fight against grandpa Ortiz or someone like that. I also think Ruiz-Whyte is more likely that Wilder-Whyte. Ruiz looks more serious about challenging again after he's come through the formality of defeating old man Arreola.

How? Whyte isn't quick, he doesn't have great head movement. He is basically going to be right in the firing line for a Wilder headshot...

... and Whyte doesn't have a great chin.

He's been down vs Joshua, Parker, Rivas and Povetkin.

I'm not saying Whyte can't win, but his style just doesn't scream problems for Wilder.

I don't see Whyte providing a greater threat than Ortiz who is far more skilled with a much better chin.

The pre-Fury version of Wilder would definitely walk through Whyte I think, but I'm not sure how Wilder will be when he comes back. Some boxers can't get their fire back after their first big loss.
