What can nganou do that wilder can’t . On foot wilder Ko’s him 10 times out of ten. Teach wilder some take down defense and he would KO nganou really quick.
Damn wish I went with my gut and picked Ngannou brilliant how he implemented the leg kicks and really worked on his take-down defense. Ngannou vs Jones is gonna be absolutely massive fight.
Ngannou nearly decapitated Miocic years ago despite getting schooled. Dude was clearly green back then. I am not saying that Miocic wasn´t old and possibly past it here, but Ngannou has most definitely improved. And he has that stupid power to change a fight.
he beat an old shot stipe, he is not going to reign long ,because he is a poor man’s wilder. How do you know he has improved ? Stipe couldn’t take him down because stipe came in way too light. Your hero telegraphs his punches just like wilder does and then swings, sure when you swing power is there. UFC were pushing this plodder down people’s throats, now they have him as champ, they will protect him as much as they can , but still he will not reign long. Way too incomplete.
First of all, just because I gave him some praise doesn´t mean that he is my hero. He is not. I think he is a fantastic athlete and has a good eye for countering, but that is it. He is not particularly skilled at anything he does. His stupid power is what wins him fights. Dude is literally the Wilder of MMA. UFC doesn´t protect guys. Ngannou will be fighting Jones next. And if he wins that, he will have to face the top ranked guys. The only problem is that most of the division is ****. Who is going to be favored to beat him? And yes, he clearly has improved. He didn´t just rush in and head hunt Stipe like he did in the first fight. He actually threw some nice leg kicks. And he now has actual footwork. Before he would do that stupid bounce thing that even McGregor could not do for 2 rounds. Once fatigue set in and the feet went flat, Ngannou would step in first with his back leg and then his lead leg. The opposite of what you are supposed to do. Just some minor technical improvements. Enough to beat the man who previously dominated him(Yes, Stipe is past it, but still. This time Ngannou dominated him).
It's quite embarrassing that fight fans still haven't learned that you can't purely box in a sport where you can potentially get kicked/kneed or taken down.
