Who do you think beats Floyd at each of the weights he fought at, if anyone? If as you get higher, the list becomes pretty long, name either the best fighter you'd think he'd beat and/or the worst he'd lose to.

    130
    135
    140
    147
    154

    130 top 10 h2h

    135 top 10 h2h

140 top 20 h2h we honestly didn't see enough of him at this weight but im fairly confident he belongs in the top 20 based on how he looked above and below this weight.

147 top 5 h2h maybe even #1. Just a phenomenal body of work and the best defensive fighter of all time.

154 top 20 h2h similar to 140, he had a limited resume here but what I saw against Canelo and Cotto was great and puts him in the conversation. He did not get bulldozed or outmuscled and his style translated well at this weight. The canelo performance in particular might be a top 100 win of all time.

I don’t think he would likely beat everyone, but 130-140 I wouldn’t bet on anyone to beat him and think he is among, if not the best h2h at 130 & 135 (he wouldn’t sweep 135 but he is on par with Duran/Whitaker/Chavez for my money.

    130 top 5
    135 top 5
    140 top 5
147 probably not top 10 but close

    154 not sure

How could he even be considered as being the no.1 WW of all time? Even on a H2H basis.

He didn’t have a phenomenal body of work at WW.

At JMW, he wouldn’t even let Canelo weigh-in at 154. It was a C-W. Yes, it was a phenomenal performance, especially as he was 36. But Canelo showed him far too much respect and stood off of him. And although he’d had a large number of fights, Canelo wasn’t prepared to fight a guy like Floyd at that stage.

I’m not sure how it would rate as one of the top 100 wins of all time, across all divisions, throughout the history of the sport.

    Cotto had seen better days.

His win over Oscar was impressive to me, but it was a struggle for him, and Oscar was faded and had been inactive.

He was great at 130 but left too early. To say he is up with Duran and the best at 135 is foolishness. Castillo beat him and he faced no one else at 135 worthwhile. At 140 he fought in his words the paper champ in Gatti and non one else worthwhile again. 147 ducked Pac till after he lost. Ducked Margarito when he was a terror. Ducked Undefeated Cotto until after Tony and then Manny destroyed him. Lost to Maidana and was protected entire career by his adopted hometown and in the pocket refs. Your patroen G is wrong. Mayweather has a manufactured 49-0. Or 51-0 if you are one of his excusers.

He most definitely had a phenomenal body of work at WW. He dominated that division for nearly a decade and every other opponent was a belt holder or top 5 contender.

He has an insanely high Hit % and also got hit less than any other boxer in history. That needs to count for something in h2h discussions no matter how much you dislike Floyd.

It is not Floyd's fault if Canelo was dumbfounded and showed him too much respect. The fact Canelo has pretty much taken over boxing and is a multi weight class p4p phenom makes the win even better.

You are just doing the typical thing of diminishing every opponent by saying they were too young/too old/overrated/etc. You can do that with any resume.

It's much easier to do with Mayweather's than it is any other résumé.

    130–1
135–Probably top 3, without clearly being behind anyone
    140–1
    147–Somewhere in the top 5
154–Number 2, behind Hearns. Andrade is also a darkhorse for being one of the best h2h here but unfortunately never really got tested. Roy also fought at 154 and could be the best ever h2h at this weight.

Absolute madness. I know you love Canelo but you don't have to try and make his loss to Mayweather look better by blowing smoke up Floyd's arse.

Only because he is the most heavily scrutinized boxer of all time after calling himself TBE. Which, to be fair, he brought on himself but he does have a point.

Floyd's resume is missing a win against a fellow ATG in their prime. Leonard has Hearns, Ali has Foreman, Floyd has nothing. He never beat an all time great in their prime, can't be the GOAT without that IMO.

No, it's because the people scrutinizing it have a point. Pacquiao, De La Hoya, Cotto, Mosley, and Canelo had either seen better days or would do years later.

Well i wasn't calling him the goat.

The thread is asking where he ranks at certain weight classes. I said he has an argument for top 5 specifically at 147 in terms of h2h.

You are talking about legacy. And i agree, Floyd lacks that key signature win but he has sheer quantity over quality.
