Pride goeth before the fall. You Canelo fans are getting a little too cocky for your own good, and are starting to genuinely think he's unbeatable. Kind of like some of the more extreme GGG fanboys a few years back.
Yup, exactly this. People are also overlooking that Canelo has bad knees, hence the recent style modification. Saunders touched on this a few years ago when Canelo was doing a workout and he has black thermal tape on his knees and elbows; so Saunders definately knows this is a Canelo vulnerabilty which is all the more reason to set a high tempo and give lots of angles and volume. The best way for BJS to win this is to also win the "eye test" too so there is no doubt who the winner is.
Hopefully Saunders comes in great shape and gives Canelo a big test. No one has really tested Canelo since GGG did, but BJS has a chance to be a rival for Canelo. Of course if Canelo wins a close decision, we can surely expect cries of robbery, but really a close decision is good for boxing. If Canelo easily beats Saunders, it will be said that Saunders was a bum and Canelo won't get full credit. If Saunders fights well but loses a decision they'll be robbery cries and Canelo won't get full credit but at least that way we'll get a great fight and maybe a rematch, and finally Canelo will have a fighter capable of beating him.
If Billy Ho wins i'll be his personal servant for a month. i.e he has no chance. For one night and one night only i'll be cheering on ginger nuts .
what I’m saying is, he hasn’t looked the same in the ring since that fight & that was long ago ... we will know for sure in about 6 weeks.
Sounds good - I just want to see a great fight. I want to see Saunders take Canelo into deep waters. If Saunders comes close to winning, win lose or draw it will demand a rematch. A fully fit BJS has the skills and awkwardness to do that. If Billy Joe gets on his bike early on and makes Canelo come to him, he has a great chance of surviving 12 rounds. The question is how effective can BJS be at landing on Canelo, and can Canelo catch him, trap him and hurt him, or will Billy Joe's in-and-out movement be enough to win the day.
I think Canelo wins a legit 115 - 113 type decision. I can't stand either, though, so I'm hoping for the double KO.
Picking a Canelo opponent to win via decision...really? What's in your corn flakes this morning, morphine?
