Ali took the best of George Foreman on his feet. Fury isn't in the same galaxy of punching power with Foreman...I'm not even sure he hits as hard with his right hand as prime Holmes, let alone Norton. A past prime Ali knocked Foreman out and stood the whole time with the other two...what makes you think Fury could overpower Ali? I'm honestly curious.

Ali by UD. Fury was fast but Ali was faster. Both guys would be very elusive and have great chins when they actually are hit. Speed would be the essence here.

I still ain’t convinced that Fury has a great chin.

Tbh Ali didn't take Foreman's best shots. Most of them were mostly absorbed by the ropes, blocked, and deflected. Ali didn't take half the shots Frazier took flush (and got back to his feet every time).

Ali would cut up Fury's face worse than what's his name did. This time, the ref stops the fight for an Ali TKO, around round 10.

Ali took plenty of huge shots to the body and did indeed take a few monster shots to the head. Shots that had led to the decimation of others.

Yeah you're right I guess. But I always felt the shots Foreman landed on Frazier were far harder than the ones he landed on Ali.

Ali would lose. Frazier would win.

I favor Ali but Fury would easily overpower Ali in the clinches the guy weighs 260lb+ and he's also physically strong. But them clinching isn't going to be a problem because Ali will be dancing around him

Ali braced and saw Foreman's shots coming ... Frazier didn't prepare or anticipate the shots Foreman landed on him and was coming forward ...

But I agree ... Foreman landed harder punches on Frazier

Good points. Both @swagdelfadeel and John are right though; Ali did deflect and roll with a ton of GF's punches, but George landed flush with more than a few. Anyone remember that ungodly uppercut George landed...nearly took Ali's head off? Ali even wrote about it in his book.

Their are VERY few men who could've taken the shots Frazier did and get back up. Even less 6 times. Hell their were some brutal potential KO shots he got hit with that didn't even floor him!

Ali was a bit of a freak when it came to taking punches. He took shots that night that some other ATG's wouldn't have. He was also incredibly switched on and attentive so as to not miss anything as he'd obviously accepted IMO Foreman had enough power to make it a bad night.

Have a look at his eyes and facial expressions early. Ali, incredibly, actually went right after Foreman with right hands many times in the first round despite foreman's early round threat. He was in the zone tho and concentrating like he seldom did or had to. It's one of the great first rounds of heavyweight history.
