Morrison, except for a weak chin, was, according to foreman and lewis, an extremely talented fighter, and when sober, was a real threat. Dillian Whyte is a decent fighter with a good record in kickboxing 1 MMA fight which he won and by todays standard a decent boxing record. I think it would be a very entertaining fight, where Whyte would hurt the Duke for a moment before he get blasted out. Morrison KO 8.
Yeah I agree. I can’t see any exceptional qualities or advantage which would make one a heavy favorite over the other
Morrison beat Rudduck but styles make fights and one punch can change everything. He wasn't necessarily better. Imo the fight got stopped prematurely
Morrisons power > Ruddocks power Morrisons chin > Ruddocks chin imo (some say Ruddock had a good chin because he went to decision with Tyson but what few know is that Ruddock got multiple injuries in that fight probably a jaw broken as written in some newspapers of 1991 that can be read on Google) https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/os-xpm-1991-06-30-9106300179-story.html
Morrisons chin is NOT better. Ruddock didn't exactly have a good chin but he had good recovery abilities and regardless he took hard shots from Tyson. But thats my opinion. I really do think the fight against Ruddock and Morrison was stopped to early
Maybe with Tyson ( I ) the fight was stopped too early. With Morrison Ruddock at a certain point was at the Duke's mercy.
If this thread gets more replies than my Hagler-Burley thread, i'm banning everyone involved. Just saying.
Would people stop pretending that the version of Ruddock that Morrison got gifted a win over was anywhere near the one that faced Tyson, or even Lewis.
