Something happened to Saunders after the David Lemieux fight. He pulled out of the Andrade fight. and he hasn't been the same since.
I expect Saunders to spoil his way to a ud loss, never taking any real chances and being happy to survive.
He's going to run like Lara to try to survive but Lara was faster more skilled and had more power Canelo will get him late
Whoever wins, if Ginger/Saunders ever do fight, in a legitimate on the level fight, I'll give him credit which ever it is. Its been so long since I saw Ginger in a 100% straight down the middle fair fight against a legitimate opponent it would certainly be refreshing
Honestly, I see BJS having a good start, maybe winning the first few, but Canelo will walk him down, hunt him down and just break him up. Smith couldn't cope, BJS won't cope.. the soulless Ginger (my sincere apologies to the ginger community) will win and win well.
Looks in good shape to be fair, I'd be suprised if it wasn't competitive but to beat Canelo now you'd need to stop him & that ain't happening.. just do your best bill
that little uppercut thrown from a crouch is the dangerous one. its thrown from a position most fighters dont expect a hard punch, and canelo throws it without wind up, real short, but with brutal force. that punch will knock the wind out of you and have you gasping for air.
Only if you're in range and standing in front of Canelo. Remember, this guy has bad knees now too so unless you stand right in front of him and fight to his tempo you can make things uncomfortable for Canelo. Angles and volume = his kryptonite.
bjs is neither good enough, nor fit enough, to keep canelo off him. he is not in the same class of fighter. maybe a few years back, when bjs had more and canelo less, he might have made it interesting...but hes getting a proper spanking this may. sure, bjs can use his legs to stay out of range, but he has to try and land a punch sometime, and thats when canelo is going to beat the fight out of him. and this idea that canelo has trouble cutting off the ring, or that he has trouble with movers, might have been true somewhere further back on the curve, but he knows what hes doing today.
I'm not dismissing Canelo here. Equally, I am not dismissing BJS. Saunders has been mentally preparing for this fight for a long time. He is not a simpleton like Avni Yildrim or a zero-confidence fighter like Callum Smith. It's going to be much closer than we think. Or...Canelo bangs him out late
Old photo bro and BJS still has chicken grease feet and movement to rattle Canelo for a few good rounds
