You don’t know **** boy. Your just another man that attaches himself to Ali so tightly and depend on him being the best so much, that it’s a personal slight if anyone disagrees. Like a woman defending her man haha
You are the girl, say it to my face sissy., instead of hiding behind the keyboard. Go play with yourself.
Frazier is the best Ali fought. Liston was in horrible condition for their fight in Miami and who knows how old he actually was. Maybe Sonny was better than Frazier overall though that is debatable, he certainly wasnt in 1964.
Something very unfortunate and out of characters has taken place here and it started over nothing. Both Richard and Sanil are great posters.
The fact is he proved his greatness in his second career. He'd slowed down and didn't have the reflexes and footspeed of previous and was largely taking on a higher standard of opponents in that time. But he used what he still had, still fast hand speed, ring smarts, all round savvy, and an indomitable spirit and toughness that few could equal. Wins in this era over Foreman, Frazier x2, Quarry x2, Lyle, Shavers and Bonavena amongst others were as good or better than any heavyweight champion, sure there was a couple of controversial ones there and I thought Jimmy Young beat him in '76. The fact is he should have retired in '75 after The Thrilla. He got placed on a pedestal simply because he was truly great and has the best resume of any heavyweight that ever lived, plain and simple.
I remember watching a similar interview a few years back, telling about Ali's speech slowing since the Ali Fraizer 1, in syllables per second, and then slowing further throughout the years following. the more stationary you are, the more punishment you take and employing a rope a dope is not good strategy, let alone brilliant strategy as hyped by the media
Frazier has a unique style. He cut ring down very quickly. He would pin Ali to the ropes even when Ali was dancing. So your right that Ali had to fight his way through Frazier...when he wasn't holding.
