GGG is an amazing jabber, very consistent.

I'm honestly just as surprised to see Porter listed in a top five here as Wilder.

Although it does make sense I guess, since they are including body jabs. Showtime does that very well.

Spence is pretty easy to hit with the jab and Brook is too, that might have bumped his jab numbers up a bit.

There's also something of an implicit (and tbf inescapable) pro-American (or pro- US/Mexico/Canada/UK) slant here; not like Compubox is necessarily omnipresent for all the world championship tier Asian, continental European, African, Latin American or Australian boxing.

top 10-20 in boxing history, he's been using it more effectively than most.

Not much was actually landed in the first 4 rounds, people forget it was a boring figt until the first knockdown, then it became a great fight.

There must be even more cutoffs because I'm sure in compubox history someone has landed their first jab, got KTFO, then never came back. Probably more than one.

First, is this list only current boxers?
Second, I absolutely understand Golovkin, Joshua and Inoue being here, but Wilder and Porter? Just the eye test tells me there's a number of guys more accurate with the jab than those two.

Yeah, context is the most important thing about all of this. Golovkin is deservingly in the top spot. He's the only one on that list I would peg as a legendary jabber. The man is not particularly fast, yet he finds a way to consistently land his left stick because of his timing and technique. Even at an advanced age he made good use of it against the two best guys in his class in Alvarez and Jacobs. The Alvarez fights are particularly notable because Alvarez is slick as snot and currently the world's top-rated boxer.

Obviously there is a ton of data missing, however. They don't cover enough fights to get a complete picture about this.

Jacobs isn`t in the top 5 here because he misses more jabs than the others listed, 90% of his jabs missed v Canelo.

The speeds gone years now with Golovkin but prime he didn’t have speed issues. Great heavy jab he had
