Looking forward to this now. What is the time difference like for watching it live? Also, whilst you have to tread carefully with being over confident, I’d have to agree with Frampton that arriving in a country with an 11 hour time difference just a week before the fight is not the best idea. Even if he’s just about coming round with his body clock on fight night, any preparation he needs to do for the next few days will be ruined. Lennox Lewis made the same mistake when he fought Rahman in South Africa.
Great news this is on Channel 5- a decent 50/50 world title fight featuring a big domestic name. I’d assume that the undercard is on iFL.
Good points echoing Carl that you make, and it does seem silly. How much Carl has left and whether the reach and height difference are too much though makes it ultra compelling. As for the time difference, I don't know which time zone you are in but the fight is Live on 5! So GMT 10:30pm onwards seeing as the card ends at 12:05. Doubt we see much of the undercard at all as coverage starts at 10, and no way they don't spend half an hour with some background and the long entrances we have these days. Worth noting if you aren't in the UK, we switched to British summer time last weekend so are an hour ahead from GMT. Can't wait for this fight now!
I’m the UK mate so I will be watching, definitely! Yes Herring is big but in fairness whilst he’s not had a hard long career like Carl his age may be a factor. Compelling watch like you say, it’ll be very interesting!
Herring is currently 5/6 with Paddy Power, Frampton is 10/11. I know a bit of bluster is par for the course in boxing, but Frampton seems to be over egging it a bit.
This will be a much needed boost for British boxing if the wee man can get the win here.looking forward to it.
