I think this could be a good move, I hope they do get involved in the UK market. Hearn needs some proper competition because Warren just isn’t challenging at the moment.
If people think Eddie will give up the Sky gig, think again. This deal doesn't mean **** in the big scheme of things. Gives Sauerland a bit more clout and probably bailed them out a bit as they lost a ton of money on the tournaments. Didn't cost Wasserman that much to pick up a good little piece of the action, but to suggest they will be a major player in this game is a bit of a stretch.
Mr Moog, what % do think AJ Vs Fury is next? Personally I'm pretty sure it won't happen next, I'm convinced Fury will want a fight first, in the summer and be open to it late in the year because the length of time he will be out of the ring will just be too much to go in to a fight of this magnitude.
Hearn won't be moving from Sky Sports any time soon, Matchroom are heavily involved with Sky for various sports.

I agree but it also wouldnt surprise me if they took all the content to DAZN. I think the main thing is Matchroom need to be comfortable that DAZN is here to stay. Eventually DAZN can offer to purchase the rights to Matchrooms sports coverage on a global basis compared to Sky UK only deal. If DAZN turnaround and say we will purchase the rights to boxing, darts, snooker etc for 200 countries that would be massive for Matchroom to turndown and very difficult for Sky to compete with. Would also likely give Matchroom the ability to expand and go into more sports as has been mooted before with the likes of Rugby league and basketball

I think if they start adding content which im sure they will then they will be here to stay. Hopefully they get alot more boxing content and ill be happy.
I think that depends on the content and the price point. If for example it was a tenner a month and they had 2 Joshua fights on it a year as part of price it would drive subscription numbers.
They are just doing the exact same as they are doing in the US. Once the start adding content the price will slowly increase. JThey had an entry price point and then s soon as they got Canelo, GGG and AJ onetc on the platform the price increased. If you look at their model in the likes of Spain they own the rights to Premier league football, In Germany and Italy they have the NBA and NFL plus the UFC. In Spain for instance the price point is 4.99 euros. But in Germany its 11.99 Euro's. If for instance they acquired the UFC rights in the UK which is rumoured to be in the offing over the next 12 months and Matchroom continued to expand globally they would easily be able to charge £5.99 a month for that content and see a significant rise in subscribers. We have to remember the UK is not the biggest market for DAZN by any stretch. Taking Netflix as an example there are 15m subscribers in Brazil compared to 13m in the UK. They only need to post solid numbers and do deals with content providers on a global basis allows them to out compete the competition.
