I think Clen might head back up to 175 if he unifies at 168 to rasp the last remnants of flesh of Beterbiev's corpse if the later still holds a belt then and is suitably declined. I know how his mind works.

Bivol smokes him tho. It would b lara all over again but even more convincing (and thats with canelos massive improvement since lara) but canelo wins the decision by large margin on the cards. So i guess he becomes undisputed at 175 also lol smh. Im a canelo fan but im a realist also. Ur prob right about beterbiev but hes gotta drag out his 168lb run for awhile and assume that benavidez misses weight or snorts a powdery white substance that may or may not be what he popped for prior

Yes he doesn't want that smoke with Bivol either. Even this inactive been out of action for almost 20 months Bivol.

But if he does move up to 175 when Beterbiev is suitably ripe for the picking Benevidez will chase him up there.

Benavidez is still young but a few years of wear and tear mileage and a couple bad fights he may be ripe for canelos pickings at 175. Boxing has been so much better this decade so far compared to 2010. I almost jumped ship to MMA completely back then lol

It does feel like there is some decent momentum. Perhaps everyone lost so much money they may have to break out some fights they've held in reserve.

I really don't see why people are big on Benavidez. Don't take me wrong, I enjoy watching him fight but I don't see that speed people talk about, sure he was fast flurries, but his power shots are not lightning speed like many make them out to be. His defense is also not great, it has many holes, and he's pretty much a straight up and down fighter with not many tricks in his game, and to top it off he doesn't seem extremely dedicated to boxing for a 24 year old.

I would favor Canelo, Charlo, Andrade, Saunders, and maybe even Golovkin over him.

Because he has pointy nipples and no fighter wants to risk getting an eye poked out, trying to get inside on him.

Canelo just arrived and outside of him 168 is an absolute wasteland so it's low risk low reward outside of canelo.. Benevidez lost his title on the scales and said he struggles to make the weight. Unless he was hiding a crystal ball in his love handles his whole career I say he has been ducking real challenges much longer than he could realistically accuse canelo of ducking anyone at 168

Luckily Benavidez is still only a bambino and is the one who administers frightful beatings to his opponents so if and when Clenelo does eventually manage to inflate his plums Benavidez should still be fresh enough to administer one to him.
